I'm surprised nobody's posted about the only network show to get emmy nomination love this year.  I didn't watch it until binging it last week.  I enjoyed it, but found the character Ava (the principal) to be too over the top ridiculous and obnoxious to be funny.  I found most of her scenes annoying, especially on a show that had all the other adult characters be fairly grounded and realistic.

I feel Ava's obnoxiousness IS her charm, and that the show is excellently casted. I've watched it from the beginning - one episode at a time. The only thing I ever binged was Fig Newtons (the food - not a tv show) ages ago, and I never want another one so long as I live.

They've softened her up just enough so that she doesn't bother me much anymore and occasionally amuses me.

I enjoy the show a lot, although I find that whenever I am backed up in my television watching, it is the last one that I catch up on. For example, I still have the last five episodes of the season to watch and I have finished everything else that I watch.  And yet, whenever I inevitably catch up, I have enjoyed all the episodes I've watched, so I don't know what causes my delaying.

Could be intersected with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia as it is renewed for at least two more seasons and has an exec producer in common as well as I believe an Abbott producer that is a IASIP actor. Frank height jokes for Ava?
