I really enjoy roller coasters.  It's funny -- in my early 40s, I assumed I had gotten "too old" for roller coasters because I had a sore neck after riding one.  Fast forward a decade or so and I rode a different coaster and enjoyed it tremendously -- so much so that I rode that coaster probably a dozen times one summer (I bought a season pass to the park).  I eventually returned to the coaster that had previously made me think I was too old to enjoy them and found out it was just that coaster that I didn't like; it made my neck sore again due to its poor design.

My favorite coasters are wooden ones which cause a lot of lift out of the seat.  I'm not so thrilled by metal ones that simply go fast and turn me upside down a few times, though some of those can be fun as well.

Check out this wooden roller coaster by me at Six Flags Darien Lake just outside of Buffalo. It fits your bill.

Looks like fun and similar to my favorite coaster at Paramount's Great America in Santa Clara, CA, the Goldstriker, though the videos of these rides don't really convey how fun they are.  The one at Six Flags does seem like it loses momentum a few times.  I can tell you from experience that Goldstriker just keeps going fast until the brakes are applied at the end of the ride.
