Hey Lads,

After recent experiences with a particular escort, I have a question for you:

Do you believe that you are (in general) more intelligent than your clients?

Thanks for your responses. :-)

As much as i would like to give a simple one-word answer as Franco did, it really depends on the guy and the situation~

There have been times i've felt that i've needed to 'dumb myself down' when with a guy, simply because i didn't want him to feel as if i was being some high-falutin' shmuck. Other times, i have kept totally quiet with guys, amazed at their vast knowlege in subjects i'm unfamiliar with.

With me, it's a give & take. I'm a talker by nature, so if we're discussing something deep & meaningful (like the subtle, yet striking, differences between Eros Light and Wet Platinum), i'm going to dig in & really enjoy the conversation... But otherwise, i'm smart enough to shaddup and learn something new ;)

Again, an answer i could have taken care of in a simple word, but wrote a book on.

*sheepish grin* Whoops :)

Warmest Regards,

Benjamin Nicholas

"In General" and by "in general" I mean as compared to a majority of clients:

I know more then my clients about:

-massage therapy and musculoskeletal manipulation

-contraindications to massage

-drug interactions

-what to do when you're sick

-where to find information about what to do when you're sick

-how to remodel a home

-good places to eat in Denver

-night spots in Denver

-science fiction and fantasy liturature

This list could go on for a while. The thing is, any client that comes into my care could make a similar list that I would be fascinated to learn more about. Whatever hobby or occupation they have that doesn't match one of mine is going to be an area of strength for them compared to me. There are few clients who I really feel like I'm way over their heads on, there are also very few with whom I feel intimidated. (these include any English teachers or people who can spell :-) I could compare IQ's with everyone I saw but that would accomplish nothing and in some cases would only serve to make me feel silly about knowing so little about certain things while still being what clinicians can call objectively intelligent. Every person who comes into my life has something to teach me and knows more about something or a lot of things that I don't. If my time with them allows me to explore that then I'm always eager and happy to do so.

Rick:

You mean, "Only the ones WHO don't read this message board."

Just thought I'd demonstrate my superior intellect. lol.

And I'm still waiting for Rick's treatise on the Olsen twins.

(Seriously, Rick, you are one funny guy.)

>Thanks, Rick.

>I still frequently refer to the notes I took at your lecture
