In Madrid I spent 4 hours in the Thyssen-Bornemisza. Nice cafe.
4 hours in the Reina Sofia. Guernica is still staggering. 12 hours in the Prado in two days.
Today 4 hours in the Guggenheim in Bilbao. The Richard Serra installation is astounding.
My feet hurt but worth it. The food in the Basque country is phenomenal.

In May 2022, I spent about three hours at the Miró Foundation, in Barcelona. It was well worth the visit simply to see his amazing paintings, drawings, and sculptures looming large on the walls as well as up close and personal.

There are  areas inside/outside where you can get a spectacular view of Barcelona down to the sea. A couple of the viewing spots are presided over by just a single sculpture.

Like any other major museum, there are rotating special exhibits of all kinds from other artists and groups, including film and photography.
