I'm thinking about flying to see a client for a weekend. How do escorts handle travel arrangements without giving out names and addresses (I know it's a huge surprise but I don't give out my last name or my address)? The client has offered to pay airfare, hotel, and a 25% deposit in advance -- but how do I get the funds in advance.

Hey Prime:

From a client perspective, here is what I do... and I fly escorts around quite a bit actually.

I get the escort's real name. I am trustworthy, so they all trust me. LOL

Anyway, virtually every airline will allow ticketless ticketing by a 2nd party over the internet. So I then buy the ticket for them and have the receipt emailed to the escort. With the receipt, the escort can then get to the gate and board.

You don't need the escort's address... just name and email. And for the clients, all the airlines I use have your (the purchaser's) name on the receipt, but not your card information or address. And if you want to delete that, you can send the receipt to yourself, delete that information, and forward the rest of the receipt to the escort. But I figure, if the escort trusts me with his name, then I need to trust him with mine.

I haven't done a lot of this but living off the beaten track as I do, it's something I'm interested in.

You may have to consider 'giving up' your real name. Then Marc's solution works or, if your client would prefer to snail mail your ticket (which is what I've done when I have brought an escort in from out-of-town) you can get a PO Box from Mailboxes Etc. and your home address remains safe

I suspect the only way your conditions could be met is through a PayPal transaction. However, I've got to tell you that as a client, I'd very very leery about transfering what could be a couple of grand (depending on where he's flying you and the length of your stay) to an anonymous e-mail when the escort won't even trust me with his name... Especially, when in my experience, most escorts that I know who travel will ususually consider a round-trip ticket deposit enough.

Just my $0.03 Cdn (which thanks to a declining exchange rate is now worth something less than 2 cents American);-)

I've travelled with 5 escorts - all have given their real names to me with no outward qualms, but in all except one case we had done a minimum of at least one previous meeting. Two used a PO box for delivery of the tickets, one is just using e-tickets and I don't have his address- haven't asked for it he hasn't volunteered it. The other two I know(knew) well enough that I have actually been to their homes, met BF, significant others, etc. so it just isn't an issue. I see no way of flying today without revealing your real name, unless he forwards you the money and you buy the ticket. I wouldn't do that unless I knew the escort really well. In one instance, when the flights were totally messed up I was able to find out what was going on since I could prove I had purchased the ticket, so they told me where he was and when he would get there, something they will not normally disclose. And before you say he should have called and let me know, I'll state that he couldn't since I was on a plane when he was on layover, and he was in the air when I landed, and I don't have VM on my cell.

Marc Anthony system works but you need to be confident in your client not great for first time clients.

Another option is to establish a good relationship with a travel agent and explain that you travel under your real name but have a stage name that you use for your acting. Have the client book through the agent...you don't have their credit card number and they don't have your real name.

Only problem can be that you must advise your agent not to submit your name to the credit card company. This is done automatically for some e transactions.

Hope this helps

I too was hesitant the 1st time I travelled with a client by air, but you know what, if they are willing to buy you the airfare, hotel, and all that, they are on the up and up.

also, if you are going to spend any length of time with them (weekend, etc) then there really comes a point that you need to treat the time differently then let's say an hour or two or three.

with that much time spent together, it becomes a real hassle avoiding some of the personal aspects of your life, so I gave up on that, and now, enjoy the overnights far more then I did in the beginning, since we know more about one another, and that does include last name....

however, if you are still not comfy with giving last name, when a reservation is made, have your client book under your assumed name, and ask him for the record locator #, and when you receive it, call the airline up, using that #, and change the name. That's really only some temporary privacy, but it can work till you get to know one another.

have fun...I haven't had an out of town experience for a whole weekend or so in a while, and I miss it!

Some good advice below. I would question whether this is something you are ready and/or willing to do? Not every escort travels outside of his local area, and not every escort does "in calls," thereby avoiding giving out an address.

You could always decline to do an appointment such as this. You could also suggest that the client fly to you and you can meet him at his hotel.

Frankly I find it funny that anyone could feel safe enough spending an entire weekend with someone, which presumably will include a number of hours of sleep (during which the client could at least attempt to quietly go through your wallet to find out personal information, but also could attempt to hurt you), but is leery about giving out his last name. I think that for an overnight appointment to be successful, there has to be some level of trust. Think about this: The client is demonstrating trust in you by purchasing roundtrip airfare and advancing 25% of your fee for the weekend. You could use the ticket, not meet the client, and use the 25% for whatever you want. The client would be out significant money, and you in the process may have collected his real name and address.

As someone else suggested, perhaps it's best to only arrange appointments like this after having had a shorter appointment with a client. In the case of a client and an escort who live far apart, with neither of them traveling near the other's city for other reasons, this is impractical.

Another approach that's been described to me is working through a trustworthy travel agent.

The agent books the flight in your name, and you give the client the agent's number. You tell the agent to expect a call for your escort name. The client gives the travel agent the credit card info for your ticket.

You never have the credit card info. The client never has your real name.

I give my name. If you simply aren't willing to, then you research the fares, call the client back, tell him how much cash he needs to send you so you can by the ticket. If he's not willing to do that, you buy the ticket and trust that he'll reimburse you, if YOU'RE not willing to do that, and won't give your name, you won't be seeing him.

Talvin Demachio, zum beispeil, claims he's never given his real name, so he's probably lost a significant amount of business. However, guys like him certainly can afford to, can't they? :-)

ReputibleTravel agents aren't willing to book without the buyer knowing the flyer's name (and address), especially "nowdays". The system Deej refers to is the "Matt Adam's" method, and doesn't really work anymore (although MA or Deej may know of some remaining old-school travel agents and can hook you up, just ask).
