Hey boys,

Check out the story I wrote on Reddit about a recent NYC massage I experienced. Every detail is true, and it still makes me horny thinking about it.

Thank you for sharing the story. That spa must have great thick walls because at any spa I have used, that much slapping and noise would have attracted a crowd. I guess I'm a snob but when someone misuses the gender of a massage therapist (masseuse v masseur) it wrecks it for me.

Hey FM - thanks for your comment. You’ve absolutely right - it should read masseur - a masseuse sure would be a boner killer. I’ve edited the Reddit post, and again appreciate your eagle eye ;)

Thanks for mentioning masseuse v masseur. I didn't say anything because I knew what he meant but it is better reading it without having to convert in my head...

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know what happened with The One Men’s Spa on 18th/ 8th Ave? Walked past today and saw a NYPD notice on the door saying it had been closed down...

I saw that too. One of the signs read “Prostitution”. Couldve been due to a simple HE, who knows. But of all these spas, I’m genuinely surprised The One got stung—my experiences there have all been the most G-rated of any of them with no hint of “activity”.

At any rate it sucks for everybody because now it puts all the mfm spas on G-rated notice for a while (I would think). It reminds me of the time when the old Hero got shut down at one point; a simple HE at other spas was hard to come by for a few months.

Passed by there today -- yes, the sign says closed for prostitution. Agree it seems weird, I've had many massages there and never any funny business. Also -- they had a fantastic facialist there that I still see (no longer works there.)

I wonder if The One was targeted because they’re at street level with such a big presence. A lot of new places around them like Seamore’s. Most of the other male-only spas are on side streets or the second/third floor and a little more discreet. I could see nearby businesses wanting to chase them out.

Is the One the place with the whole front of the store is glass?

I think these "public nuisance" prosecutions are always targeted for a reason having to do with money and influence. (I know, conspiracy theories ...) If the place was in the crosshairs, for whatever reason, it wouldn't take long for an undercover to induce some kid just trying to make $20 to do something "inappropriate" -- or not and say he did. Meanwhile, The Blue Store and similar businesses right up the block go their merry ways, selling ... what, exactly? DVDs?

I agree these prosecutions are infuriating. The only exception I would allow is suspicion of human trafficking. I have patronized these spas for years. I like the men-only vibe and the massages I get. If there are "extras" it's been completely private and consensual. I have never been coerced or tried to coerce anyone. The establishments I have used do not detract from the neighborhood or create a negative environment. I have genuine sympathy for workers who are disrupted, arrested, need to spend money on lawyers, and end up back a work. Stupid

So I'm new to the spa game and live in NJ so I don't make it in regularly to the city to a spa so I need to make the trip worth it. I was planning on going to Energy Spa as I had seen good reviews/comments but recently I'm seeing not so good comments. Can someone give me a little insight as to if that place is worth the trip in? If a PM is possible from some people so I can get more specific details that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help.

I banned Philip and refuse him.

He asks for additional tip.

I’m hoping he doesn’t do that anymore cause I ratted him out. Pissed me off and ruined my vibe. I’ll tip and tip well, just don’t ask me about because you’ll get a lot less.

He did same with me awhile back, I was not happy either!! Ruins the experience of a massage!
