Is rentmasseur the new rentmen?

Really frustrated of guys advertising in rentmasseur when they really should be advertising in rentmen.

Why do they do it? Obviously if I'm looking for an escort I would go to rentmen.

If I'm looking for a masseur with some sensual / erotic aspect rentmasseur is the place to look.

I agree. I keep getting the escort vibe more and more with their ads. And it shows in their rates . I notice more ads in the  $180 - $300  range popping up which is ridiculous for a massage.

I agree with both previous posts.

If you check the reviews for some guys on RentMasseur they show rates paid as 300-500 even! And that's for 60 or 90 minutes mostly; occasionally for 120 minutes. I assume that includes tip.  Definitely escort territory.

I suspect they do it because they can advertise prices in the USA on rentmassuer but not on rentmen

Also, once they get your attention, they can then offer you their full service with an uptick in price.  I find similar situations with masseurs who list price as "ask". As soon as you make the connection, the masseur will offer you their menu.  Then after your interest is piqued and the price is beyond what you are wiling to pay, you get "if you want strictly therapeutic, I can do that for $180-$200. Meanwhile, their 'massage' in a theraputic sense is probably not even worth it for that amount.

Agree with prior comments and  believe its their way to double their visibility.

Perhaps there should be another board here then.

Like many, i'm annoyed by seeing and ad then to see their rates or what they are advertising as - both clearly escort. 

Call me crazy, but when I goto a "masseur" website I expect to find that, not all the other stuff

I’ve had two great masseurs do the same thing.  First one started out in the $120 range and was great in relaxing the back.  However, somewhere he must have met a client that suddenly shifted his practice to hard core escorting.  His prices soon jumped to $300-400 with one rating paying him $1000 (I can’t imagine what happed there…).  Mind you this was posted all on rentmasseur and not rent men.  
 

The second also advertised degrees in kinesiology and his technique validated that statement.  He was is the $150 range for 90/mins.  Then after three appointments he responded to my fourth request that his rates were now $300/60 and $500/90.  Like WTF!?  I dropped him like a sack of rotten potatoes!  Mind you his rates disappeared and said the infamous “ask” statement.  Of course this happened to be short lived and he now posts $180/60 and the damage was already done.  
 

I now found a great masseur who doesn’t advertise anywhere whom I met on Tinder of all places.  $100/60 and an honest therapeutic massage by a instructor at the local college.  Beyond legit setup like I’ve never seen before.  He’s in the Phoenix area for you curious ones.

Two observations:

1. When they post their rates as ‘Ask’ you can pretty much figure out what their rates are from what the reviewers posted as the rates they paid.

2. By being vague on services offered they can feel they can charge escort rates and have the option to decide how far they want to go in providing services resulting in YMMV.

if I’m going to pay escort level rates then I want to know I’m getting sex and clear up front what that sex will be. I don’t want to empty my wallet and leave frustrated because the ‘provider’ determines the chemistry isn’t working for him for whatever reason.

I’d rather pay $60-$120 for a therapeutic massage where the masseur is really going to provide a truly experienced massage — not just rubbing lotion on me and calling it a massage. 
Then I’ll pay the going rate for my escort and know the activities I want will happen and, with a few exceptions, I’ll leave happy, tired and relaxed. Plus some escorts have talented hands and can do some massage as foreplay before the main event 😉

Agreed. I chatted/texted with a guy a month or two ago who promised a premium spa experience in his private "luxurious" apt while charging escort prices. I was up front with him that I didn't mind spending the money but I expected more than just a massage. It didn't have to be sex per se but an erotic experience, MT, and kissing at the very least for the price he was charging. He wouldn't commit to anything beyond the "possibility" of a HE and kept touting his luxurious apt. I don't care about a marble bathroom and high thread count sheets (or whatever passes for luxury these days). Clean and comfortable is fine. I'm paying for the experience with the masseur or escort; I couldn't care less about Gucci sheets. I'm not going to pay $250 for "we'll see what happens..." 🙄
