not sure pushing this up is such a great idea. like Bush v. Gore 2000 showed, this "impartial body" is as partisan as it's appointees. and 8 years later it's even more partisan. wih no worry about being overturned, at least in their lifetime, there's no progay argument no matter how compelling that will work with Alito, Scalia, and Thomas. Roberts also is very conservative but seemingly rational. Kennedy might swing our way, so to speak. still it's a crap shoot with big long term risks.

This just in ... the US Supreme court has agreed to review the 9th circuit ruling concerning California Proposition 8

 

[i'm a member of the SF gay freedom band, and there would have been a celebratory rally if the court declined

to review ... they just sent email that there would be no rally ... tonight ... maybe in a year ...]
