Seattle and Prop 8

I wanted to create a thread just for Seattle on this issue. There will be a rally at Volunteer Park at noon on Saturday which will then continue onto Westlake Park in downtown Seattle. Hopefully there will be good media coverage. So Seattle folk don't wine about the rain or the cold! Get your asses out there and let the haters in Ca know that we up here in the NW are watching them and do not approve of what they did! Still Lovin' Keith Olberman's commentary. Hmmm... I throw the quesation out there: If you could boycott something(S) that would make the difference and get the impression across about equal rights wht would it be. I'll just start the ball rolling and say ALL Pepsi products, (Um Mormon owned). Mormons bought the vote with economy... so, let's take the economy away???!!! What financial venues do the Mormons hold that contributed to this dispicable display of Human Injustice and Discrimination? Let's boycott the Mormon economy! Anyone up for that? ie.: Pepsi Corp and subsideries, Bonniville International Corp who owns radio stations in Seattle, Utah, LA, Cincinnati, Phoenix, Chicago, DC and St. Louise... (In Sept 08 CBS was negotiating plans to sell 50 stations in 12 markets to BIC).

(PepsiCo brands???... Still investigating this one but if it's true the Mormons hold significant earnings and shares in PepsiCo,that company owns five different billion-dollar brands. I'd be happy to see the whole state of Utah boycotted. Every business, tourist venues, ski resorts - the whole damn works. It would be a real coup if we could get Redford to find a new, out-of-state home for his Sundance Festival.
