He must be reading this forum.  The link posted only five minutes ago is already disabled. 

One thing learned by most in this forum is to NOT pay providers in advance.  

Another confirmation of not to pay before an actual meeting.

I made the same mistake twice, paying ahead of time. Never again. No pay before play is my motto now. One of the guys I knew and had been with before so I foolishly trusted him. The other guy I didn’t know. Both guys disappeared from RM soon after they ripped me off.

Sorry, it was not "people" plural. 

It was one poster that has many different screen names posting here. 

That poster often posts controversial issues including the belief that providers should be trusted with advance payments. 

In a recent post the person wrote that it is a privilege for clients to interact with providers and that clients should not complain about advancing deposits to providers. 

The person also wrote that if the provider skips out on the deposits received or if the provider leaves earlier than the paid amount to the provider, it is the fault of the client because the client failed to do enough research about the provider. 

While there are instances where a client might want to advance a deposit to a known provider, advancing money to an unknown provider has a history of disappointments.

this is when its not right when others including escorts come on here to defend paying up front... that there are time wasters and flakes that no show for the appointment on the escort. i understand that. it would suck being on either side. yet not making any money for an hour is in some ways better off than someone stealing money from you for the hour. turn the shoe onto the other foot and im sure the escort would rather not make money than to actually have it stolen from him.

If one needs to adopt multiple screen personalities to make a position appear legitimate and have support, then said position is weak at best and speaks volumes to one's integrity and character, or lack thereof.   

I'm also sorry this happened to you @nysouthpaw.  It's an expensive lesson.  

I've said before, the most successful providers are engaging, pleasant, personable, and don't treat potential clients with contempt or like a walking ATM.  For me, an abrasive personality extinguishes any interest I might have in a provider, regrdless of how physically attractive he is.

Make sure it's a deposit you can afford to lose. I don't think a small deposit to show good faith is unreasonable, but asking a client to advance one or two days worth of their wages ahead of time isn't reasonable even if the provider is honest and intends to follow through.

I found him he changed his profile to THE_INK.  You know for me to meet men is to find comfort. He was making excuses that his cat ran away, then somebody robbed his apartment. . I have waited for 4 hours and he kept stating he was coming. I requested my  money and he blocked me. I was  annoyed by rentmen. they took like "oh so sorry to hear that" and yet he is still there.

@nysouthpaw I'm somewhat of a newbie myself, just under two years.  My first hire was a local provider whose ad I admired for a long time.  I finally took the plunge and contacted him.  Aside from his physical attributes, he was pleasant, friendly, and personable. I arranged for two hours at my place and he never once requested any form of deposit. He knew I was new to this and a bit apprehensive, but he treated me with such kindness and understanding that I felt comfortable with him immediately.  Fast forward to today, we've met almost a dozen times and all subsequent meetings with him have been overnights.  We've had meals together.  We keep in touch between sessions.  We value each other as people. 

My point in sharing this.....keep searching for your version of my guy.  You had a bad experience and learned an expensive lesson, but there are some wonderful, kind, understanding men out there who appreciate loyal, respectful clients.  Search the threads here.  If you don't find anything, start one.  While there's always a possibility that your personalities don't click, if several people share their positive experiences, at least you get a better picture of how your prospective guy operates.
