I am a huge fan.   So glad she will experience this, she is in increasingly fragile health.   And I can't wait to see who covers her songs!

IMHO she is one of the most important musicians of our generation.   Probably one of the most wacky too!

I'm not surprised to hear of her health problems. She has been a chain smoker all her life, I understand. It wreaked her voice.

But she is a marvelous creative artist.

Surprised Joni hasn't gotten it already. My mom is a huge fan and it took me a while to come around, but I've grown to be a fan too. Blue is an absolute masterpiece...one of the best albums of all time.

Joan Baez was a bit wacky too. The first time I saw her in concert in Boston (around  Spring 1963 ), she was rude to the audience, giving rules and warnings.
