I miss BN's blog.

 

"Devon's Diary," I believe, was the first long running, well written, frequently updated, interesting blog by a gay escort. For several years, Devon mixed descriptions of sexual adventures with reports on his travels and his views of the many art exhibits he visited. Devon made it a point, whenever visiting a city with a client, to spend some time in the museums and art galleries, which he enjoyed so much. Devon was also an artist. I traveled to several cities around the U.S. because I trusted Devon's judgment in art, and he recommended certain art exhibits. His reviews were more timely and more personal than the formal art journals, and I trusted them more. And because Devon was an escort, his reports on some of his sexual adventures were always enjoyable and interesting. I was happy to read recently a report from Rick Munroe that Devon is happy in his post-escort life.

 

BN has different interests in life, but he also leads a very interesting life. BN enjoys the high life, good food and good hotels, travel, fine clothes, and the theater in New York, London, and Las Vegas. Reading his reports on these various aspects of his life was always interesting. And I was keenly aware of how much time and effort and discipline it takes to write long blogs frequently. BN always wrote in correct standard English, with an interesting vocabulary - a combination not often found in internet writing. BN's descriptions of hotels, meals, clothes, ships, plays and musicals were always interesting, and I appreciated the fact that he took the time to find photos of most of the things he talked about on the web and inserted them in his blog so I could visualize what he was talking about. I guess I never assumed them to be 100% literally true; but they were always interesting, informative, and enjoyable. I am sorry he has stopped writing, and I miss his blog.

 

Hopefully, a third high class escort, who travels extensively and experiences many things and has various interests in life, will begin writing a new blog that we can enjoy and keep the tradition going which Devon and BN have so ably begun.

I'm sure BN must be very good at what he does. The bod is OK and his butt is way cute but I have never thought he was particularly good looking - although I will concede that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Even if half of what he writes is true, he must be doing very well for himself.

Doesn't Karl-G visit the blog page at least weekly to keep tabs on BN's postings? Just when did Karl-G begin to miss the blog? Did he lose the bookmark?

 

From Karl-G's post one can assume he is a fan of BN's blog. Thus how can such a hardcore fan, and yes you are hardcore if you're posting about it, miss a blog that has never been gone?

 

I really would like to see a follow up from Karl-G about his thread.

Those are interesting statistics but I wouldn't think anyone's blog would compare to a site like Daddy's. Aren't the number of "hits" on a site the thing that would determine those rankings? Wouldn't Daddy's site get a hit every time anyone reads a thread or logs on to post, etc.? As opposed to looking at a blog once a week or even less often?

 

Where does one find the site that reports those statistics?

I'd like to know that too. Looking at Ben's blog today, I see that he has 13 blog posts for the year, a suitable number coming up to Halloween. Maybe he intends to have 15 for the year, thus 15 minutes, fifteen times a year?

Rankings that I reported are from Alexa.com Alexa is one of several ranking sites. The rankings are based on daily unique hits of those using the Alexa toolbar to a specific site. Other sources are also used to create the Alexa rankings. Alexa is far from perfect but has become one of the main sources of traffic rankings throughout the years. Several high profile Internet ad sites use Alexa rankings when selling banner or text ads.

 

Blogs were mentioned, and they not only can compete with this site some surpass it. I checked two of the blogs I visit daily. One for news the other for videos and photos. One is way below this site (the lower the ranking the better) http://www.towleroad.com (gay news) ranked 21,273 and http://www.ricoreporthq.com (gay porn) which ranks above this site but well below BN's blog at 264,158.

 

I noticed that when I copied and pasted in my previous post extra characters was added to BNs blog. His current ranking is 9,016,326. From my experience this equals about 5 unique visitors per day.
