yes 97 is too much, unless a heart surgery is involved.

Perhaps you misread ? It not simply a facelift, its an eye, face and neck lift AND lipo...... and each task is a la carte.....

I have been unhappy with my looks for years. When I look in the mirror, i dont think I look that bad for my age (70 on Oct 29th), BUT when I see myself in photos or on Zoom, I'm horrified. My face is drooping and sagging, and looks like its melting... So, today I had a consultation with a highly recommended plastic surgeon at NYU Langone about full face, eye and neck lift, AND liposuction of the belly and flanks... Now, its just a matter of deciding whether I should allow myself to spend $97,000 at my age 70, or just try to live with myself as the few years I might have left ??? ???

Aging is a normal, natural process, and none of us look the same as we did even 10 years ago. There are very few of us that can look perpetually good without hard work on your body, proper diet and discipline.

Have you made a decision yet?

The one upside is that they do "send you home" with a nurse escort for overnight care... and I thought hmmmmm, maybe I'll get a hot MALE nurse to spend the night ? But then I came back down to reality and realized i'll be bandaged up like a mummy and in pain. WTF will I be able to do with HIM anyway ? ?

Ever read Johnny Got His Gun?

Yes. Everyone should read it.

Maybe if @jjkrkwood had read it, it would make his decision easier. :p????

Maybe The Weeknd's video "Save your tears" is a cautionary tale. The "failed plastic surgery" look on the video is just make-up. He's not really ugly as portrayed on the video...

I just wanted to share that with y'all and also ask you about your age and how you feel about it. Do you have any regrets or bitterness about the choices you've made in life? Do you struggle with aging at all? Are you secretly longing to be "young" again?

(People here tend to brag, or give the advice they want you to have, instead of answering the questions you asked. I'll only give advice if you ask for it!)

Yes, I wish I was younger, probably because I think it would make me feel a lot more accepted in society.

I think it was around 55 that problems that I probably had no control over started appearing.

Yes, I wish I was younger....

You don't have to wish. You did used to be younger. ? No super big regrets. Of course, I do wish I were younger. I wish I'd hired more escorts when I was younger. When moving, I came across a lot of old photos of myself in my 20s an 30s. I wish I still looked like that, but I think I'm doing OK for my age. Glad to be able to retire while I'm still in pretty good health. Gotta travel more.
