Anyone who is on air regularly has SOMETHING they wish nobody had seen or heard.

30 years ago, in DC, the AM drive-time powerhouse was the Harden & Weaver show.

They had a promo for a campground to read one day, and one of them had to say "by noon they had their tents pitched".

What came out on live radio was "by noon they had their tits pinched".

There was a beat of silence, and the "straight man" of the duo announced "it's 7:15" and they went to commercial.

A few days later they got a hand-written note from the head of the FCC saying "stroked, maybe, fondled, definitely, but never pinched" and that was the end of it.

Today it would be front page news and people would get fired.

<sigh>

Sue is a local newswoman legend here in NYC. Her longevity in the NY market is a testament to her professionalism. Yeah, she dropped the f-word, but for goodnes sakes, it's a word used everyday. I've been in meetings with CEO's and other high ranking officials who never stopped using the word.

Anyway, here's something not seen in any of the news reports about this story...it's been long rumored that Sue is gay.
