Just seeing where the consensus is regarding this site. I still advertise on there every month, but I have periods where it doesn’t oft payoff.

The only reason I keep it up is because it’s inexpensive ($30) and it’s not too much of a hassle since I just put my phone number up and leave it. Occasionally I’ll go thru and respond to messages with an auto template, but 99% of the time...it winds up as no response or no meet from it. The rate of clients from the site is about 1 or 2 every 2 weeks. And considering it’s priced per month, it’s still a win...but discouraging to say the least. I’m also aware I don’t charge the rates they seem to expect to pay: usually $50-$100. So getting a client to meet for $200-$300 isn’t common on the site, but certainly not impossible.

I know many providers don’t bother with it, but just curious to see if more or less people are using it anymore.

I have been using A4A for many years and have had multiple successful meets from the site. I like the fact that I can unlock/relock pics. I used it more when they still had a decent app available - nowadays I have to log onto the website to use the platform.

You know I have to tell you I met one of my *best* regulars on A4A. Is a nice guy.....we always have a lot of fun. He left A4A and graduated to Rentmen (with some advice from me) and is doing ok.

That said, A4A doesn’t seem as productive for me as it used to be, whether searching as a client for an A4 “pro” or just some local fun. And the interface is just butt ugly!

Not sure how it is everywhere, but most of the PROs in my area are sketchy at best. I wouldn't be interested in them even if they weren't PROs.

Also, A4A is nothing but bots and cat fishers. I've posted before that 99% of the messages I get are scams. Of those, a good number are guys who list various locations in the states (Oklahoma City seems to be a favorite) and their distance is usually 5,000+ miles away. Others are hitting you up for relationships from Russia, Ghana, or some other country. Add to that, their physical descriptions are humorous, like 6'7", 130lbs, 39" waist, and the pic is some built, beefy guy. It's actually become entertaining.

Well congrats. I can attest to also having some hot encounters from the site, which keeps me coming back. I’m also grateful that due to Grindr and company (the beneficial parasites of gay hookup sites lol) I’ve noticed the level of harassment, weirdos, and rude messages on Adam have gone down drastically over the years. Most of the weirdos have moved onto the hookup apps, which is why I’ve stopped being too concerned about Grindr allowing escort ads someday.

People used to hit me up to say nasty things, nowadays I only get it once in awhile. Most recently: a guy in DFW Texas area I believe I met 12-13 years ago hit me up. He had to have been late 30s/40 when I met him. He was hot and we had fun, but it was a 1 time thing. He had the same picture, and the same age: 30 years old. When I made a joke about it, he said he doesn’t take the site seriously, and “at-least he’s not a prostitute” and then blocked me. wow...I’m so offended. I had no idea

But that’s also one of the reasons I don’t like using it, many people on the site like to play games or be rude and dismissive. It can easily tank my mood ya times. But there’s been times I’ve successfully trained guys how to communicate when looking for sex. Being snappy and combative isn’t going to work with me ☝?

I get that too, but it’s relatively easy to avoid. Try to keep your location on, and only respond to those within atleast 1,000 miles (I say because oftentimes I’m posting in cities ahead of time and may be 950 miles away).

also don’t entertain profiles that only have an age and a picture with nothing else filled out. I had a “client” with a profile like that...everything seemed real including his number matched his stats, or so it seemed. But he ended up being a flake.

now I make sure to mention that I won’t reply to blank profiles, and all clients on A4A have to confirm their appointment.

I don’t respond. I don’t initiate. These are completely unsolicited “smiles,” and messages I’m receiving from scammers and cat-fishers.

I have been using A4A for years now, mainly because i met some of my good regular clients there long time ago, A4A used to be BIG, now is not anymore, i have lots of clients buddy listed on that site and that is the only reason i keep it, plus its all about putting yourself out there for people to see you, its a way to reach a broader audience.

There have been months where A4A was a better investment than Rentmen.

Ain’t it a surprise when that happens? I can’t say I’ve had “months” that is has been better, but certainly “cities” where that’s been the case.

I think A4A slightly changing its interface (which initially resulted in a slow down couple years ago) did benefit the site. They were smart to “update” without doing a complete facelift, and losing customers in the process like manhunt and gay.com did.

I did write to them though that I didn’t like how they dropped having individual neighborhoods, and suddenly had “county” for every city. Which may be easy to place yourself in, but hard for users to find. Like I don’t know what county every town I’m in, is in. I think they did it to include more people in searches (places like LA and DC would have dozens of neighborhoods, all within a 20 mile radius, and sometimes I’d change my neighborhood round the clock to try and catch more visibility).

I’m also convinced more people are using the app and location feature. I can barely get any hits when I’m far from the city, but once I’m in town, my inbox starts blowing up from people nearby. Which is great, but bad for when trying to pre-advertise.

I like Adam... some good hook ups but some conman too. I had this guy ... he claims he is a CMT... oh my, I invited him over... what a fucked up massage he gave... it wasn’t a massage and I could tell he’s not a trained masseur. Next he was sucking my nipples and wanting me to have a Happy Ending... for like 10 mins he gets $100.00...And make it worse he was even late by more than an hour.. I was so frustrated today. Please avoid this kinda people assholes. We are already depressed because of this pandemic - what this person did was even more depressing.

For this reasons and others, I’m “considering” discontinuing my membership on A4A for a little while. Even though it is just $30, the quality of provider AND client seems to question the purpose.

It seems to work better in some markets than others, but it’s hard to tell when and where it’ll be handy. If not using it in a reliable market where you can get clients already from Rentmen and others to begin with, it probably won’t make much of a difference. Like in places like Kansas City, Orlando and Los Angeles, A4A isn’t going to fix the already underperforming market in which other websites are based on.

It’s also tedious to have to keep logging in because people there don’t treat it like an ad, they just try to get free chat time rather than contact direct and schedule a visit.
