I'm wondering how many people here think that Nancy Grace is the Personification to the Nth Degree of the derogatory use of the term, "CUNT?"

I have never seen a woman - in person or in the media - who, if I got close enough to her, I would have to restrain myself from strangling the BITCH. x( x( x( x( x(

When I first started watching Grace (anyone remember when she and Johnny Cochran shared a live show in the evenings on the network-formerly-known-as-Court-TV?) I liked her. But now I fear she's become a caricature of herself. Well-meaning, perhaps, but awfully smarmy and condescending at times. (Still, nowhere near as smarmy and condescending as, say, Bill O'Reilly - and I really don't think he has a well-meaning bone in his body.)

In general, it's a shame to see any number of legal-related commentators 'sell out' - I used to like Greta Van Susteren when she surfaced on CNN around the time of the OJ trial - but her show on Fox News (need I say more?) only pretends to be about legal matters - it's all hype and celebrity idiocy. I liked her better when she had actual trials and meaningful legal issues (i.e. not just stuff related to the "flavor of the day" story) to comment on.

Even Dan Abrams, that cutie from Court TV who now heads up MSNBC's news programming (hey Dan - WAY too many repeats of already oft-repeated crime/prison/"dateline" programs - get some new stuff, please) tends to "sell out" a little too often for my taste - and though he's nowhere near as smarmy as Grace, he can turn on the smarm factor too. Though I do at least find him pleasant to look at, lol.

At least former Court TV anchor (and another cutie) Terry Moran had a good run as the chief White House correspondent for ABC (is he still? not sure). Him I've always liked...:-)

Bostonman, I share your sentiments exactly. :*

Although, I couldn't stand Grace even in the beginning. I think it's that smarmy sneer which keeps getting worse year by year. She sold out long ago, trading any small semblance of credibility in her reporter/commentator role as a former prosecutor for a role as an entertainer, of which CNN has all too many such types. The thin line between news and entertainment at CNN is more often than not blurred or non-existent. I wonder if Ted Turner even bothers to watch CNN any more. I can only imagine what he thinks of his "baby." (Yes, I know he could be laughing all the way to the bank, but I'd like to think/hope that he's not laughing, he's puking). x(

Couple things... first, I agree that if I found myself in close proximity to Nancy Grace I would be surprisingly tempted to do her bodily harm.

Second, I love the parody they do of her on Boston Legal.

Third, Turner recently outright said he deeply regrets giving up controlling interest in CNN, that he's ashamed of what it's become (that's how I remember his statement at least).

I've posted my thoughts about this woman before - and nothing has changed since then. There must be a more vicious word than cunt to describe her, but it escapes me. Harridan comes to mind but that's not strong enough.

She is rude beyond belief. She asks a guest a question and cuts them off before they can answer. The thing I hate the most, is not when she is being cunty - it's when she puts on that phony sincere look when someone gives her a compliment or when she is faking sympathy for some poor soul.

She used to make a big deal out of her ex fiance being murdered, but we don't get that so much now as she has finally found another poor slob to marry her. My personal opinion was that the 1st fiance wasn't murdered at all - he commited suicide rather than marrying her.

Now we are subjected to the pics of her holding up her newly born twin babies. Can you just imagine the fate of those two kids growing up with a mother like that?

I don't watch her often but when I do, I can't change the channel - it's like watching a train wreck.

But - like so many other people I don't care for - would you like to have her paycheck and her total annual income from all sources? I would. How many millions do you think it would be?

How is "cunt" anything but derogatory (useful as it is)?

No doubt Grace deserves appointment to the Babwa Wawa school of TV journalism. Wawa is proof of the notion that if you push hard enough you can get in anywhere. Babwa has no.......Grace?

Yep, I'd say that word just about sums it up. She is really awful. She also looks like a drag queen or some kind of prehistoric bird-like creature.

Hillary Clinton and Nancy Grace: separated at birth?

As for Dan Abrams ... egads. Cute? Only if you like bad hairpieces and those dinky ass features of his. That whole network could sink and no one would notice.

I'd surely miss Anderson and that fellow who does the map analysis on election nights. Can't think of his name, but he's got classically handsome looks.

On the other hand, it's hard to imagine anyone getting turned on by Wolf Blitzer, though out there somewhere someone may have a Wolf Blitzer fetish and fantasy. "Wolf......wolf.......wulf......wulf.......oh, YEEEEEEEES, wulfie!"

And if ever there was a case for an eye job, it's Jack Cafferty. Too much caffeine, Jack.

IMHO The ONLY 2 Hunky Guys on Cable at the moment are:

Rob Marchiano (CNN)...Lonnie Quinn(CBS) Whoever thought "Meterologist" would turn out to MEAN the Best Looking Guys on News Shows! LOL

Lonnie Quinn..Has that Brandan Steele "Goodlookin" Face! My Guy Brandan has a New Face Shot "cumin" up with his Reviews! It's a Nice One! ;-)

I don't know Quinn but I'm with JT on CNN's Rob Marciano ... HOT HOT HOT ... I especially like it when they have him doing hurricane coverage. A couple of years ago they had him in FL with a t-shirt on and it was raining and he got all wet and windy and all of that. I just about fell out of my chair ... Rob in a wet, clingy t-shirt. Those biceps and pecs of his were just popping out ... OK, talk about too much caffeine ... I'm getting hot just imagining the scene ...

Smarmy? What a competition ... Grace, O'Reilly, Olbermann, Blitzer. A four way tie?

At least a couple of those people have guests on their show who disagree with them. But the worst of the blowhards is the guy who never has anyone on who doesn't share his opinion. How intellectually dishonest is that? And cowardly, to boot. What is he afraid of?

Ok...well fine, you don't have to like him, lol.

As for Wolf Blitzer, I think he's just a little too self-important (kind of like that Bill Kurtis creature on A&E). Jack Cafferty couldn't get more annoying if he tried. (That's when I really stopped watching CNN - when they started that awful "morning show" panel thing, where they were just a little too giggly and "Today Show"-ish, and Cafferty played the curmudgeon with his sour "Cafferty Report" soundbites.)

I agree about Rob Marciano, though. MMmmmmm...;-)

Cafferty is like Andy Rooney without the humor. He looks like his idea of fun would be to scare small children on Halloween.

Blitzer is such a blowhard. Where did they find him?

>Dan Abrams is not on CNN with my cuz Anderson Cooper (and

>c'mon, Coop, come out already!)

Coop was out - back when he was just starting to get time on CNN - how many remember when he always wore those pale mauve shirts and no jacket? He made no bones about it and I have seen interviews where he admitted to being gay. Never a big discussion, but certainly no denial.

As he became more of a fixture on CNN and finally replaced Arron Brown he never mentioned his sexuality again. I would bet that CNN told him to shut up about it if he wanted a future with them.

CNN would probably never admit it but I think they are quite homophobic and do not want to loose conservative viewers who might switch channels if they thought one of their anchors had also "switched channels" :-)

Remeber that gay hottie Bill Hemmer who used to be an anchor of theirs in Atlanta? He was sidelined into a nothing slot and eventually quit to go to another job - seldom to be seen again.

Then there was Thomas Roberts - a real hot hunk - who came out and participated in an hour long feature about his sexuality and how he had been constantly molested by a RC priest as he was growing up. He also suddenly disappeared - went to Fox, I think, and has seldom been heard of since. God only knows where these guys are now.

As for Rob Marcianno - he's as hot as they come. But he has very little air time these days. I have seen him doing CNN reporting other than just the weather. Looks like he is trying to expand his horizons but so far with very limited success. Rob is also gay and I understand he can be seen in gay bars in the Atlanta area from time to time. But he is probably wise to keep it under wraps, given the attitude of his employer.

Remeber those glorious shots of him and Anderson covering a hurricane in Florida where they were huddled together against the wind, giggling like two schoolgirls? As if there could be any doubt in anyone's mind after that hoot.

Agree completly on those ones - but why did you leave out the Asshole-In-Chief, LOU DOBBS? They don't come much dumber that that.

As a side note........ I always thought marriage wise, Nancy Grace and Glen Beck would have made a lovely pair.

Ari...Lon the Stud did the Weather Report in Fla for a few years.

Before that he was on a Soap! Understandably so! He is about as photogenic as a guy gets! He wears suits the way they should be worn!

I'd definitely Dress Him & of course Undress Him 24/7 :9 :9 :9 :9

I didn't think of Lou Dobbs. But he definitely belongs in that group with Chris "I Get a feeling up my leg when Obama speaks" Matthews.

I'd like to see Grace, Beck, and Olbermann in a three some. Olbermann would obviously be the woman.

Zipper. I don't know where you get your information from but you are dead wrong. Anderson is my cousin and he has never come "out" and never been on air openly gay. Many of us have urged him to do so but he hasn't.

You are also completely wrong about Mr. Marciano. I know friends of his at CNN. He is as straight as straight can be. He's actually obnoxiously straight.

As to Mr. Hemmer. Seldom seen again? He's now a high-profile anchor on Fox News getting more exposure than he ever could have hoped to get on 2nd place CNN.

Get some better information next time.

CNN and CBS don't have the only hot "out" meteorologists. Check out our local TV meteorologist here in Mpls/St. Paul, Sven Sundgaard.
