Or it could be a function of other things. I just learned that one PreP drug and protocol (Truvada) is likely to prompt metabolization of calories, while the other (I forget the name) is likely to promote slower metabolization of calories. Thus, it could be that the weight loss is an outgrowth of the Prep protocol if he's on it.
