If it's legal to lie, why wouldn't it be legal to drop trou and show himself?

Short answer: it's not illegal for cops to do so as part of an attempt to catch a criminal. An even clearer example is when undercover cops infiltrating drug dealing criminal organizations find it necessary to do drugs to maintain their cover. The cops are supposed to not commit crimes, but that's relaxed when the assignment requires it.

My guess is that if a law enforcement team has targeted you then you’re going to end up face down on the floor handcuffed no matter what you do. And not in the good way.

If they’ve expended enough time and energy to get you there then they will bust you based simply on whatever communications have occurred up to that point. I really doubt you’d hear “Oh darn, I don’t want to kiss you. I’m a cop. You’re free to go.” I believe that even having condoms in your pocket can be considered evidence that you are soliciting. (Which is super stupid, like the other tactics, because it makes people take lots of risks and puts people in harms way.)

The good news from my perspective is that gay male encounters that don’t involve street hustling are a really low priority. Every sting of clients/escorts I’ve read about lately is done “to combat human trafficking“.

To the OP: saying “I’m not a cop“ out of the blue is sort of like saying “I don’t have herpes“ or “I’m not crazy.” It sounds really odd and would make me think something weird was going on.

I think you hit the nail on the head there. If cops wanna bust you they will. Just showing up to the meet is grounds for an arrest and when the phone autopsy is done they will have clear communication that shows the intent. I also agree that street hustling, human trafficking and solicitation of minors seems to be the main focus of law enforcement.

gee, I suppose we can all just stick with the well-reviewed guys mentioned here in the forum and over at daddysreviews and not worry......

but I know some of us like to live by the "you only live once" mantra and live dangerously!

in some states.. i believe Hawaii (though last i heard they were trying to change the law) Undercover LE were able to sleep/have sex with the prostitutes/escorts and then arrest them.

Note to self - If you ever go into Vice Undercover LE, move to Hawaii!

Kinda crazy. So basically depending on how attractive the vice cop felt the alleged perp was they could decide to arrest pre or post their own orgasm? A case of Moral Hazard perhaps? Would love to hear some of the explanations recorded on wire taps on those sting operations. Hahaha
