In Mendoza, Argentina's premier wine-producing region, the locals often speak about the legend of "vaca morada." As the legend goes, you can often see the "vaca morada" (Spanish for purple cow) grazing at dusk between the neat rows of grapes framed by the mighty Andes mountains. It is said the unusual purple color is the result of a steady diet of the equally legendary Malbec grape.

A tribute to our own Vaca Morada: May he feast long and happily on Malbec grapes!
