What is it with "Varies" on escort rates?

Often, it seems that they don't do incalls, but don't know what to do with that field.

I use the "Waries" option simply because I do not do a one hour session and there is no option for me to post my session rate. I have a session that runs somewhere between two and two and one half hours. The total rate is $350. I do NOT, however, do a $150 one hour session. My sessions are two hours or more. In the rare instances I have done a one hour session... it has generally run closer to the two hour mark... additionally, there is not enough time in one hour to share a relaxed, deeper connection that I like to have with a Client. I don't like to watch the clock and don't like feeling rushed. I don't think Clients enjoy that either. If we go beyond the regular two+ hour session I ask for an hourly rate of $150 for the next two hours. $600 for six hours and $850 for an overnight of somewhere between 14 and 16 hours. Then I have weekend rates etc...

So... the hourly rate listing does not work for me simply because I offer a better rate for a longer session that is less concerned about time and more concerned about quality together of time shared.

Sometimes travel may come into play... depending on the situation... a Client may request a session though I may have to travel some distance. I may negotiate given the travel expenses... If I travel some 6 hours round trip and pay $50 or better to get there, I may ask the Client if they would consider covering my travel cost, (but do not ask them to cover the time I travel unless the situation is ongoing. Then those hours add up and take away from valuable communication time). (I don't take multiple Clients in one day and so I am not concerned about travel time to the extent that I am late for another Client... but it's time away from my email or cell and so I can not communicate with other Clients as they might like. In one sense this can make guys uneasy... on the other hand, know/be assured that I will not be utilizing the time a Client has paid for to conduct other business~ My time is dedicated to them exclusively while we are together).

Also... I occassionally run specials... like a "Christmas/Holiday overnight special" or a "Grabby's Awards overnight Special".

So... the hourly rate does not work for me. Quality over quantity is my preference.

Well, now that all the client rants have perhaps run their course, let me answer from the perspective of a client who happens to live with an escort. In his case, he quotes a flat hourly rate (with the extended time rates, as well), but he privately reserves the right to introduce extra charges into the deal, if, for example, he finds out at the last minute that the client lives 150 miles away, or the client has a buddy who wants to participate too.

 

That said, I can assure you that after mentoring at least 5 escorts in 5 years and now living with one, with rare exceptions, none of them read this Message Board, and they therefore aren't listening to your complaints/preferences. The handful of escorts who post here get your point, but the other 98% have no clue, so you can't really blame them.

 

In an ideal world, the Male Escorts Union would monitor this board for comments, and police the rate quotes.

I don't remember if I saw "time of day" listed among the possible reasons yet. But it is true. You wake me up from a good dream, you're going to pay for it. Of course, that was in the old days. Now, I'm just not available, period, after a certain time at night. But the newer guys still are, eh?

 

Also, whenever I suggest to a client that he might review me here (Since I stay about as fully booked as I want with regulars, I don't do that often any more, either.), I run into an awkward problem. Many of my regulars have been with me for years. Their rates are frozen at the rate they first hired me. Others I also know socially. Their rates are half of what they would have been paying when they first hired me. Some of both groups have forgotten that I don't raise their fees when I raise everyone else's and would be embarassed if they were pushed into remembering it, wondering if I was hinting that they should start paying me moer themselves. So, I sidestep that whole problem by just telling them to put "varies" in the "what did he charge you" slot.

Why do some escorts charge more to bottom than to top? Surely, being a top takes more effort (particulary in maintaining an erection) especially if the escort does not find his partner particularly fuckable, er...I mean, exciting. If bottoming, the escort could just close his eyes and fantasize with Brad Pitt, Josh Duhamel, or anyone of his choosing!

why do some Escorts charge more for one thing then another? Hmmmm... that's a puzzler? (Total sarcasm there~) I charge for my time and so keep the rate a flat fee for my time and not the activity we partake in... something about the "sex by numbers" makes me cringe~ Takes the mystery and fun out of it... the spontaneity dissappears and it seems like sex would be this prescribed mechanical thing. I could be wrong... that's just my take on it. If I was hiring I would want some room for unexpected spontanious play that would not be interrupted by, "Oh... you want to do that? That will cost you another $50 or $100). Talk about spoiling the moment! Yeeesh~
