He couldn't have been that bad, given his 12 excellent reviews on RM from members I recognize as discerning.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. One man's "jerk" might be another's "alpha". Some people are all about fucking, others about kissing and cuddling. Some clients want one thing, and hire a guy who offers something else, then are upset they didn't get what they wanted. It's not like there's a rating agency. So will filter the information available. Like you, I'd put more stock in a host of reviews from apparently discernible clients than I would in one man's impression of a "jerk", especially when the "jerk" was willing to show up on virtually no notice to see a client he's never met before. I hope alf at least paid the guy's cab fare.

Calling reviewers on RM discerning is like casually letting people know that you love the delicate taste of a cold Gallo chardonnay from a red Solo cup.

Actually, asshole, several of his reviewers are RM members I have communicated with in the past, so I'm aware of their standards and I trust their judgment.

No need for personal attacks. When you say stuff like that, you make yourself less credible. BN was merely stating, in a pithy way, what's taken as gospel by a large population on these boards -- RM "reviews" are not reliable, especially compared to reviews on the Daddy's site. My view is that you find and filter info where you can get it.

If we are all talking about "financebro", I'd trust BN's insights. He has a broad swath of contacts, clients and providers both, who inform his comments.

That said, sometimes a client and an escort just don't mesh, even if that same escort thrilled tons of other clients. My impression from alf's posts are that he has a certain type, is concerned about the cost of hiring, and isn't particularly comfortable with filtering the 40 score of escorts in Manhattan to find a match. He wanted a guy on short notice. All of that makes it difficult to find a guy and have it be the ideal situation. This one didn't work out. That happens.

No need to be so totally rude when you disagree with someone. Your choice of vocabulary says more about you than about BN ...

I just thought it was clever and funny. Internet reviews must always be suspect, unless the reviewer is a known person by many.

I mean, my comment was smart-assey, but not full on puckered asshole.

I apologize you took what I said so seriously: It wasn't meant as a personal assault.

One day I hope to meet BN’s asshole... the puckered one.

I just wish I hadn't missed my chance to meet him. The only time I was ever able to meet Ben was about 7 years ago when I still had the money to hire. I contacted Ben about an upcoming trip to San Antonio ( for a job interview that led nowhere). Ben said great. I get to San Antonio, contact Ben, he said, "When we talked of getting together, you gave me dates for the following week. I'm out of town right now." I looked back at my notes, and he was right. I had inadvertently given Ben the dates for the week following my visit. It was my own fault. And I was so disappointed. And now I'll most likely never meet him.

... But did you eat a decent taco and enjoy your time in San Antonio?

I'm from Texas. So it wasn't my first visit to SA. I probably succumbed to my touristy impulse and went to Mi Tierra for some machaca.

But years before I had lived in Corpus Christi. I used to do weekends in San Antonio with escorts because I liked to go toobing in New Braunfels. When I did this I often stayed at a B&B owned by a gay couple called the Painted Lady Inn which is apparently now closed.

It was down the street from the Pig Stand-which is the only remnant of a chain that was like an early day Denny's-plus in Dallas where I think it started it was one of the first drive ins like Sonic.

When I didn't stay at the Painted Lady, I often stayed at the Emily Morgan Hotel which is within walking distance of the Alamo.
