Alright I'll be the first to leave a comment on this here board on this topic. You're right it isn't bad. It is down right G-d awful! Course I've never been a fan of the girl anyways. Can't sing live to save her soul and she doesn't know how to do sexy seductively either. NEXT!

Come on, MTV creates and thrives on total messes. It was stunning to me how horrible the lip-synching was (there once was a time when they'd blend live music with a recording and at least you'd wonder what part was what) but this bordered on funny it was such a disaster - but it was perfectly appropriate for "MTV" as opposed to the Grammies because acts like her's tonight are what MTV is about. I bet the show's ratings were sky-high for five minutes, then plummeted bigtime.

She was wearing one a very tiny tiny one. And yeah the lip syncing was so awful! Course other then her ballads at her show everything is lip synced to its fullest. There are singers that use backing vocals (I think that is what it's called) but they are still singing. The backing vocals are used to cover up the heavy breathing if they are doing some dancing and some slight imperfections of the voice, but she doesn't even do that. Poor thing. I reviwed the video on MTV's site as well as at TMZ and Dlisted. Without a doubt it was horrible and it's unfortunate that Brit lived down to expectations. I am sure many tuned in just to see her fail and in that regard she delivered.

 

She certainly looks unrehearsed and maybe even has a bit of stage fright. Thankfully the back up dancers were good but that just wound up highlighting how bad Britney performed.

 

I do think it's a bit unfair to call her overweight though. For a woman who had two children in two years time she looks pretty good from my perspective. However, it would have been wiser to choose another less revealing costume.

 

The next few weeks are going to be a nightmare for her dealing with the repercussions from this disaster. Her album release later this fall is not going to get a bounce from this performance that's for sure. The paps are going to be hounding her everywhere asking about the performance just to get a breakdown out of her on camera. Get ready for a major incident - its not giong to be pretty.
