I used to do really well on men4rent, backpage, and craigslist- haven't really done much escorting since they've been taken down.

I was wondering if there are similar pages up now? I need help getting back in the game as I've moved from Miami to NYC.

Unfortunately, there are few places for an escort to advertise in contrast to what was available a few years ago. Rentmen has become the go-to, but in a city like New York advertising can become expensive if you want prime visibility (i.e. banners, Platinum Boost, contributor ads) or you risk getting lost in the sea that is hundreds upon hundreds of active escorts. The market has changed significantly in New York so it requires quite a bit of work. There is also A4A but I wouldn’t recommend it. If you specialize in massage, you should also check out MasseurFinder.

 

This forum is also a great resource, not only for advice but for building clientele, it just require you engage regularly. Simply put a link to your ad in your profile. Good luck.

Welcome back to the game! I started out in Miami myself. It is unfortunate that there’s fewer sites out there right now.

 

However, the double-edged sword to having fewer websites: more clients have fewer places to browse, so atleast for me: my phone goes off with texts round the clock. However It’s become almost overwhelming to keep up with and weed thru the real from the flake.

 

Also, the former back-page and Craigslist usual flakes who likely just contact people for sex for sport, and don’t intend to actually meet, have been using Rentmen more too.

 

I am still a fan of adam4adam, however to cut down on expended conversation: I just recently posted my number and I have a message saying I don’t read/reply to messages on the site.

However, just be warned. RentMasseur carries a ton of flakes. Moreso than rentmen. I think @marylander1940 said it, about how people go on there to get escorts for cheap.

 

One guy wasted my time over the weekend, contacting me twice for a session: didn’t follow up the first time, then wanted to try and bargain me for $100, then bargain me for $60 saying he just wanted to suck my dick. I meant to put his fucking ass on my national client warning list for that bullshit. Cause he owes me a time-waste fee.

 

Frankly I’m just getting fucking fed up with the shit already. RentMasseur is a joke sometimes. I think after this I may take my ad down for a little while. Despite me meeting good clients on it overtime, it’s just becoming too much of a headache to use when traveling. Everybody who contacts from there wants an Incall (because they can’t host), and then they bitch about being short on time, or bitch about having to go anywhere outside of their 2 mile radius.

 

I think I may just let it go and only use it when I’m somewhere local and it doesn’t require them to have much thought process. And besides, I have 30 reviews on Rentmen, and only 4 on RentMasseur. It’s not even doing anything for me.

And then...I just went thru my RentMasseur and noticed about 6 people have emailed me (with no picture profile or from an external email) this week...asking for appointments today or the next day, and not even contacting me thru phone.

 

Seems I have to make it clear that I don’t conduct business or set up sessions thru their email system. I don’t know why people think I have time to sit and sift thru each of their emails, wait for them to respond, to back and forth only for them to cancel when the actual time comes to meet.

Yeah that’s true, I just got a surge of irritation today from it. I really think all the Craigslist/backpage “erotic therapy” guys have moved to RentMasseur. Nothing wrong with that, but before one could brace yourself, now it’s just cohesive with the main sites.

 

It’s almost like one has to create a different persona to succeed in the RentMasseur market. Perhaps like a secondary brand. Rentmen is Nordstrom, RentMasseur is Nordstrom Rack lol.

 

Rentmen is the Audi Q7, RentMasseur is the Volkswagen Tiguan lol. That’s not being pretentious, because I’m on rentmen and I couldn’t afford an Audi Q7, but I think it’s just what Rentmen franchise created. I personally got away from the double personas because these guys look at different sites anyway. However, desperate times call for desperate measures.
