Did anyone see Ben Affleck on Bill Maher last night? Affleck's looking handsome and gives off a lot of sexual heat and a hint of mint. Every other word he said was "fucking." Matt must not be putting out.

I saw it. When will Ben and Rosie types realize the right loves them too if not more? Oh, it's still not on the level of John Travolta (with his planes parked in his yard lecturing everybody on the perils of global warming)- but it's close. I read a lot about Ben on Saturday a.m. on some right wing blogs and saw him on FoxNews but didn't read much about him at Huffington Post or see replays with "every other word" bleeped on MSNBC. I'm sure it will be re-played tonight by a gleeful Hannity while Colmes gives his "he doesn't represent the entire party" argument.

As what? A one night stand? I'd love it but it's just wishful dreaming. I'd settle for confirmation that Ryan is batting for our team!

I saw that show and I must admit to thinking that Affleck should just shut up. He has some interesting ideas and he seemed to have some pertinent factual data to support his statements, but the profanity laced presentation made it impossible to take him seriously. Someone who won't or can't present their ideas cogently without throwing an epithet in every sentence, needs to realize that his statements lose their power when such a powerful and contoversial word is there as a distraction. Epithets can work well when used for emphasis, such in the statement: "Fuck Bush" but suggest ignorance when used as an adjective such as: "That fucking Bush is the worst fucking president ever of the fucking US of fucking A."

 

So Ben clean up you act for the political talk shows and save the "fucking" for someone who might appreciate it.

I viewed the show and Ben. Overall I was unimpressed with him as well as this particular "BM's" show in general. Ben's use of the "F" word incessantly and his continuous hand waving led me to think that he has difficulty in expressing himself about serious matters of this world of ours.

 

He didn't appeal to me sexually at all as he once did! It's unfortunate that Mr. Maher did not have someone else on his show who could have been more convincing.

Last year I happened to be trailing along on the sidewalk behind him, Jennifer and their brat, eavesdropping on them. He was, if possible, even less coherent than usual. Mid-morning too, so not likely due to substances.

a while back i saw some pretty convincing pics of ben passionately kissing josh hartnett....i cant recall the site...was wondering if anyone else remembers these pics and the story behind them....i never understood why they didn't receive more media attention, like the pics of travolta kissing a guy while on the stairs to his airplane
