How do these guys set their prices?

I ask this because I recently contacted a fledgling porn star who is working with practically everyone right now. He gave me the astronomical price of $800. I just laughed and closed the message, and then thought about how I can get a guy who has 150k+ Instagram followers for $250.

I think those who’ll go to any length will charge those kinda fees. Especially if special favors and fetishes like rimming and eating ass are included... I might be wrong let’s here from others.

Here's the issue at hand.... yes there is a free market place yet if Hyundai put the Genesis G90 at a price of $285000, 3 times the price of a mercedes s class they would be laughed out of the marketplace.

 

These guys are doing one of two things (or both).... they are stabbing in the dark trying to get one sucker fish to take the place of being with 3 clients OR they are looking at gay men as weak and in their warped ego mindset, feel entitled to that much of the gay schleps bank account. Either way I really hope the market place does what it is suppose to in a free economy and allow these "entrepreneurs" everything they are entitled to.... zip!!

They do it like anyone else. Some pull a number out of their ass. Some do some research. Some have a chat with their famous porn star friend who escorts on the side. Some think about what they require to do what escorting demands.

 

I have no idea why he thought he was worth $800. I'd have to ask him to explain his pricing. Escorting is a very opaque business because it's illegal in most of the world and capitalism discourages transparency so the spread for escort rates is largely unknown unless you're active enough in the market to know.

 

My advice is to understand your budget, what you're willing to spend, and work within your budget. If a provider is beyond it, politely let him know he's too expensive for you and move on. If the provider wishes, he may reply with a lower rate or not. The instability and inequality in our economy insures that it's a buyer's market if you know how and where to look because there are many struggling people out there trying to make a living.

...and the only way to find out what the market will bear is to occasionally test prices above that point, so I wouldn't take it personal if I got a price beyond what I was willing to pay. But I also wouldn't bother to answer and just move on.

Also, celebrating oneself for nabbing someone with 150k followers sounds silly considering most of these boys purchase followers/likes to inflate their “influencer status.” Good for you?

Price is set by supply and demand. If they're a 10, they can set whatever price they want and will have the patience to wait for the one who is willing to pay four or five figure numbers for them. An attractive looking 7 or 8 will high ball a number and if someone doesn't bite, they'll lower their number until the two parties come to a mutual agreement.

More than once, I've been quoted an outrageous price by an escort and when I balked they immediately reduced it by 50%. Of course, it's a business transaction and the escort is looking for all he can get, but still it's a red flag for me when they first hit you with an exorbitant price and then reel it back dramatically a minute later.
