I’m smelling a fake.

 

Sent him a message through RM. He asked me to text him.

 

When I followed up with him yesterday about a potential meeting, he said he had removed his RM ad “recently” and is only doing massage.

 

Recently? The ad is new and he’s checked it since he sent that text.

 

Sounds like the person running the ad and the person answering the texts isn’t the same person.

I do not understand how the RM review system works, but his 6, 5-star reviews were posted by "trusted members" who have "joined" dates that preceded his. Plus, his profile has been viewed 10,000 times. Six "hits" from 10,000 "looks" seems reasonable, doesn't it? All the reviews are from members who have donated a membership to a provider (but I do not know that that is significant). I could not use the "start a conversation" with any of those members, because the website purported not to contain any of their handles (again, I do not know if that is significant.) So, I DM'd each and so far one has responded that he has been with the boy several times, that he is a top, but that he bottoms. Anyway, I today texted with the young man himself. I asked if he topped in the "stem the rose" sense. He confessed to not understanding the term, but was content to ask me what it meant rather than looking it up on, say, Google. He purports to be vers and to be willing to try new things, but does not have the experience my query referred to. I could not find any info when I tried reverse image search (Google) or reverse phone search (Intelius). But, others on here have succeeded at that in other instances where I had failed. Obviously, he cannot host because his photos show that he sleeps on the couch in a space decorated by a woman. In other words, he does not have his own place.

I did have to look up "stem the rose"........ @Fyton were you trying to be discreet with him in using the term?.......or could you have just said "do you top?"......

some concern about the RM reviews: as @down_to_business suggests, there are five rapid-fire reviews within ten days after he joined RM, though it's possible he may've simply asked his clients to write a review to get things going with his new ad......and the most recent review is for a meeting date well before his RM join-date (typo?)........on the other hand, as Fyton suggests, some or all of the reviewers appear to be "real".......

 

some of the reviewers of Hogan can be written to.....(but one may have to be a "Premium" member of RM???)

I tell myself that I was testing his intellectual curiosity, his intellect, and his topic-related knowledge, but I could have just been showing off. The phrase is from Broback Mountain, which I have not seen, but the lines goes something like: "Jack you can't let the dogs sheppard the sheep while you two are in here stemming the rose." If the phrase has an older provenance, I'd love to learn it.

A mutual client who met Hogan before he got on RM referred him to me for some information and tips because he was interested in getting in the business. We met up and I can confirm he is real and even better in person. Very kind, genuine, and masculine guy. He's got a very attractive deep tone to his voice and comes across completely straight. He's much more apt to answer text messages but is getting better about email. He is new, super friendly, and may not know all the terms like stemming roses, but just be upfront with what you're looking for and I'm sure he'll do his best.

I thought his profile was down but it’s working now. He looks very attractive but I tend to prefer 23 or older; 19 seems very young to me but then again maybe I should plan a trip to Dallas...
