I don't think I'm breaking any protocol as I haven't mentioned any names below. Within the last few months I haven't had much luck with guys, and as a result I'm taking a little break.

1. Made a second appointment with a guy I had seen prior and had a wonderful time with. I usually book a day in advance. Two hours after my appointed time, the gentleman texts me saying he had been out to eat and left his phone in his car so he couldn't contact me. He was wondering if I still wanted to see him that night. I was no longer interested even after he lowered his rate.

2. Booked 3rd appointment with visiting masseur after 2 successful appointments last year. When I went to confirm with him, he said he mistakenly gave my original time slot away. He was able to squeeze me in, but shorted me 15 minutes. Will not see him again.

3. A well reviewed guy was going to be visiting DC in February. Actually had a nice chat with him on the phone. He requested a nominal security deposit. I've never given one in the past with anyone, but decided to go ahead this time. On the day of said appointment I inquired where he was staying. He informed me he never made it to DC! He said he'd get here eventually but wasn't sure when. Will I see him? No!! The icing on the cake was he texted me a few days later saying he was stuck at the mall and asked if I could I send him a few bucks to get home. He received an emphatic NO!

4. Last night. A recent DC resident and well-reviewed masseur returned for a quick visit. I booked an appointment the day before. Confirmed a few hours before. We were all set. Arrived at his hotel 5 minutes before appointed time and asked for room #. No response to my text. Texted 15 minutes later. Still no response. I went back home. Sometime overnight I received a text from him apologizing saying he confused me with someone else and thought I had cancelled my appointment. Nope! He said he was at the movies.

Seriously, what gives??!! So when providers complain about clients flaking, realize it happens on both sides!!

It’s in sane!

Escorts complain about how flaky guys are and how competitive business but some behave like this!

A local escort told me it’s like dealing with 50 and 60-year-old teenagers!

Wow, quite a run of bad luck. Times must be good if they can ignore a customer...in some cases a return customer!!

I think to many are doing this completely on the side ... so if they make an appointment, great. If they don’t make one oh well. They book all the can to have the option but have multiple other things that take a higher priority.

I understand there are a lot of flakes with clients.. but just as many with escorts.

Last time I rented I had to message three guys to try to book a appointment two days down the road , got responses from all initially but only one communicated fully and was able to meet him. Others didn’t respond or told me we were on to meet and never confirmed, then sent me something the day of they couldn’t make it.

They certainly sound like pros and well-worth the $250+ fee they charge. Where did you find them, leftover from Backpage or Craigslist? ;):eek:

Sounds like a string of bad luck.

I found a kid in Houston on A4A who wasn’t advertising as a Pro but made clear that he wanted to meet generous guys of my physical type.

The first time I met him he was an hour late but it was a terrific, 2-hour meeting. He asked for $75. The second time he was going to be two hours late and I told him I was canceling.

I really, really enjoyed his company and he was 100% my type so I contacted him again a few days later and told him I’d give him $100 extra if he was on time. Since then he’s been early to every meeting and patiently waiting in the lobby. We’ve become pretty good friends.:)

I’ve occasionally met other amateurs or high-flake-risks and told them they’d get $x extra if they were there 5 minutes early. I view it as cheap insurance for my time.

Try that with Ryan Rose!

He flaked on a frequent poster not once but three times, the 3rd one was after the guy introduced to him in a bar.

My first time with a guy was like that. I scheduled to see this hot guy for 3 hours. On the day of appointment he tell me it better to do 2 hours because It will give him time to see this other client. I was ok I'll just do 2 hours. So am driving to the destination midway he text me can he changed the time we meet because his client. Right their I was piss I told him he was not be professional. I was about to quit this session and he was trying to convince me not to cancel. Tell me he can give me free 420. I told him I don't smoke and all of sudden he told me I'll just paid half to him for all the trouble. Still went on schedule time. Got to his hotel he wasn't there, text me he'll be there 15 minutes. Here waiting like a idiot. He finally came. Had the session It was a ok, paid half but part of me still felt like a idiot for being patient.

I saw #4 (or someone fitting the description) many times ... and experienced last minute cancellations and/or delayed start times. However, the massage itself was good so I preferred to go with a known quantity rather than someone new. Besides, we all run late or have last minute conflicts that arise sometime.

I'm with you, I had a similar string of experiences last year and also took a step back.

I hate it when a guy flakes or is ridiculously late. There have been guys who get stuck in traffic, but that's different- they have kept me posted and showed up. And they didn't make it into a habit. There was one guy in San Diego who would be late all the time, but that was because he did not have a car. He was a full-time student and opted to forego having a car so he could focus on his program. I liked him to come from the gym, which was Downtown, but he ALWAYS kept me posted about his ETA. It wasn't his fault that the MTS was unreliable and took 45 minutes to go six miles. Finally, he agreed to let me pick him up and then take him home after our playdates.

Actually when BP and CL went down all of the sudden flakiness, no-shows, etc. jumped!/QUOTE]

So true! The shady guys have polluted the waters of RM, etc. Makes it bad for the clients who are unlucky enough to try hiring them and for the quality escorts who sometimes often times get painted with the same broad brush as the flakes.

I don't think I'm breaking any protocol as I haven't mentioned any names below.

Since when is it a breach of protocol to mention names? Have the forum rules changed? I've said this before but I'll say it again: the reason I think most of us are here is to get useful information (positive and negative) about specific guys, not to hear other members whine about bad experiences without any useful advice on how to avoid them. Not to mention the enablers who encourage these sorts of posts by sympathizing with them.

I completely agree with you @Gadfly22. I think it's particularly important given example #3 in the original post sounds as if the "well reviewed guy" never returned the money he was fronted as a deposit.

If someone rips one of us off, we should definitely use this forum to make others aware. I wouldn't want someone like example #3 to have my business.
