Earlier this week I was on a private visit in Phoenix and I'm glad to report that I climbed Camelback Mountain all the way to the top. Breathtaking views from up there. I decided to share a few shots with you.

It's striking terrain. Thanks for sharing!

Desert areas like this fascinate me. The area is completely flat. No foothills whatsoever. And all of a sudden a mountain jumps up from nowhere.

They're very fun to explore, and I'm glad you got the chance!

I've hiked Camelback many times....it's a legendary Phoenix landmark located well within the urban area and is hiked by many hundreds every day when the weather allows (most days!)...some locals climb it several times a week before or after work....

2.4 miles RT and 1200' up...crowded parking lot at Echo Canyon, but those in the know park on Invergordon and walk a short ways extra in return for less crowds and easy parking...on the way up, spy notorious Charlie Keating's Phoenician Resort and many homes of the famous and infamous.....

all you wanted to know about Camelback!....sorry I got too into it there!
