A recent article pertaining to Grammy winners who were 1 hit wonders mentioned the "Walking In Memphis" singer, who was deliberately shot in the head by a carjacker a few years ago. The doctors told him he was lucky to have survived the attack.

 

Back when the Internet was relatively new, I enjoyed being able to have correspondence with all different kinds of musicians. He was one who NEVER responded to my requests to get in touch with him.

 

One of the guys in a new band called Maroon 5 e-mailed me that Kara's Flowers was no longer, and they were working on an album temporarily titled "Songs About Jane". Nearly 2 decades later, they performed 3 songs from that album in the middle of the biggest sporting event in the USA.
