Has anyone been to the Sydney Mardi Gras?

 

The Aussie soap "Neighbours" is going to have a float.

I’ve been a few times. If you’re interested in going, there’s lots of info online.

 

You may have left it a little late, however, to buy tickets for the big parties and the parade itself. And for attending the big parade, it’s worth buying the best seats in the grandstand. There’s also extensive TV coverage but the commentary is pretty tedious.

I've been once. It was fun, but I enjoyed Rio's Carnaval celebrations (and city) much more.

 

So much so that this year will be my 12th visit to the Sambadrome event

Forgetting festive occasion for the moment, I like Sydney a bit more than Rio.

 

They are both magical cities!
