So this is the second time in the last month I have wanted to attend a gay function (Rentboy Awards, Gay Erotic Expo) and I wont be able to attend because of my young age. I understand the concept of it being easier to not have to deal with underage drinking and such, but honestly it just gets annoying. I know everyone has gone through this at some point, but im just bitching about it bc im annoyed lol. I believe this is the bitch room right, no politics, religion or war, therefore that leaves BITCHING about everything else ;). BTW if anyone knows some way that I can get around this and get into the expo please let me know.

Soccerjockster.... If you're looking for something to do in NYC on Thursday nights, try Campus Night @ Splash Bar. After 10pm customers under 21 are admitted. Also, Sundays at Splash Bar have under 21 admission.

 

Splash Bar

50W. 17th St.

between 5th and 6th Avenues.

 

On Saturday nights, a college night is held at a bar called Heaven. Once again, under 21 is admitted without a parent/guardian.

 

Heaven

6th Ave. corner of 16th St.

Yeah i have checked both of these out and might attend Splash 2nite. Thank you for your help, i love how helpful everyone can be in here. It was more just the fact that I couldnt get into the Expo which i was excited to go to...but yes if anyone is going to Splash 2nite i might be there.

Soccerjock...Splash holds it's underwear contest tonight. It starts at 9pm. First prize is $200... There will be a few board members in attendance. Following the contest, the "Campus dancers" will be dancing on the bar and on stands throughout the bar. It's a fun night. Hope to see you there. Coop

I'm actually a little surprised the Expo even has an age restriction.

 

You're old enough (and cute enough) to be IN the products they're showing. 18 is usually old enough to get into a porn shop. And I'm willing to bet if there are any producers of twink videos exhibiting, they'll have "stars" your age in their booth.

 

It just doesn't make a whole lotta sense. But that's been said before about these expos.

Hey Taz, That infamous RB cruise has docked in NY... Soccerjock might not be the only traveling escort at Splash tonight, I understand another well known escort will also be in attendance. You're right, bring that X-mas money, we might be out celebrating past our bedtimes. :-)

I did hear from a most reliable source yesterday that Soccerjock is a very hot young guy who also looks much better in person. I`m in the City too but can`t make it to Splash tonight.

Of course it could be the fact that I had a visit with Eric today.

IF you read the SPLASH Site also, MOST either like the Place or don't!

 

But most people have their own Favorite Club...Or No Club at all in NYC!

 

But Sadly The "Booze" in NYC, just like the "Workin Guys"..Don't even come at a Really Economical Price anymore! LOL :p :P :p

Not in NYC. Porn shops there are 21+ (not that they all abide by it, but that's what it's supposed to be) which is probably why an adult expo in that city would have to abide by the same laws.

What a strange land you live in. Can't get into a porn shop, can't get a drink in a bar, just what CAN a 19 year old do?

 

Oh I know, you can join the military and go to Iraq and shoot and be shot at. Now THAT makes sense? Right?

Or get a fake ID. Almost everyone I knew in NYC under 21 had one when I lived there.

its not bars, its events that bother me, i dont really care that much about bars. Hey umm besides taht does anyone know places to get fakes? I dont think i would be interested but im interested.
