I have loved TV game shows and by extension TV Reality Game shows, since I was old enough to remember the matches on Concentration.

I have applied to be a contestant numerous times, with no success. Jeopardy! and Who Wants to be a Millionaire, I passed the qualifying test but not the muster. I have applied for Survivor and Amazing Race with no success. I was down to a select few possible contestants on a show which never made the air, called Double or Nothing, in which you sell almost everything you own and then go to Las Vegas and bet it on one spin of the wheel. The show was to follow you selling your stuff and then climaxing at the big spin.

I even went onto a website TVWritersVault.com and created a pitch for a game show and was contacted by Fox about developing it and still no luck on getting on one.

My father won a refrigerator on the Price is Right and my mother was on the Ted Mack amateur hour, so I come for good reality show stock.

I am not particularly photogenic, and dont usually crave attention or approval but I must admit to a void in my life. In a country where there are more reality shows than there are family farms, I feel like I should be able to get onto one.

So, anyone out there with connections to get me on a TV game show? Prefer The Amazing Race but would go on Lingo just to get this monkey off my back.

I don't need any pop psychology evaluations of my motivations what I need are hard core connections. Forum readers, you are my next last chance.

Interesting post - but why pick this forum to post it in?

Was supposed to go in the lounge. Strange thing about this post. I awoke in the middle of the morning having dreamed very clearly that I had made this post. I was convinced that I had but could not shake the feeling that perhaps it was all a dream. I got up turned on the computer and found I had not made a post. So I just typed the letter as I remembered it from my dream and went to bed. When I saw the post the next day, I thought, why the hell did I post that at all.

The abundance of apathy about the post added to that, so thanks for the nod Zip.

Wow, I had no idea; that's a neat goal to have. I'd also love to be on a game show, but only if I could go back in time to Match Game '78 and sit next to Brett (in the male guest star seat, upper left).

Yeah I would have loved to meet the woman who deep throated Jack Klugman. Funny thing about the Match Game, they always had big breasted rather dense female "stars" sitting next to Richard Dawson but I don't recall any himbos sitting next to Brett. You would have thought that Charles Nelson Reilly would have demanded some beefcake.
