What happened to Mark Wahlberg's chest?

I just finished watching "Annapolis" which I rented from Netflix, hoping to see Mark Wahlberg's bare chest, but no dice. He does have a boxing scene with James Franco (whose bare chest is absolutely yummy), but he seems to be the only actor Franco boxes who keeps his shirt on. The same went for "The Departed," which I saw about a month or so ago: no bare chest. I've spilled so much for MW's chest over the years, but it seems he hasn't shown his chest at all in recent years. Any rumors as to why? Has his body gone to pot? And when was the last time he showed his chest bare in a movie?

When he was "Marky Mark" I thought his bare chest and anything else he happened to bare was hot.

 

But since he has become a "legit" movie star, his appeal for me has worn off. Too mainstream......

I hear he strictly wants to be taken seriously as an actor/producer, especially with the huge success of Entourage, and currently that translates as "no nudity." That could change but I wouldn't suppress your orgasm. Unlike other male sex symbol/actors, Wahlberg has a been-there-done-that attitude about openly displaying sex appeal. He has moved on and he's knows he just doesn't have to do it anymore. One thing is for sure, he's definitely not interested in supplying jack-off material for his gay fans. He's not as much fun with the boys as Brad. :-)

On noting the subject, I checked MW out and in looking at his current pictures, he looks like he's aging rather badly. The IMBd site had a lot of current pics and he definitly looks a lot older than I remembered him. At least he had the good sense to stop taking off his clothes while we had fond memories.

I think it's a little too late for that. He should have thought of that before he did all of those underwear ads. Someone once told me that Calvin Klein only hired underwear models with whom he had personally slept with. Is this a pervasive rumor?

I have a friend who recently flew from LA to NYC to be interviewed by CK for a designer job. He is cute, not a twink anymore, but quite nice looking. CK apparently insisted on doing the deed. Friend refused, and left sans new job.

I listen to rumors but, knowing what I know about celebrities, I rarely believe them. Too many are cockamamy: usually someone's silly fantasy.

 

Calvin Klein Inc, the once privately held design house has no manufacturing structure anymore. Calvin Klein left his Calvin Klein Inc shortly after he sold it to Phillips-Van Heusen in 2002. Francisco Costa has been designing the clothing since then and manufacturing has moved from NYC to Italy.

 

Calvin Klein is an artist, a designer, and does work on other projects, like "Elysium," his beachfront house near Shinnecock Bay.

 

Calvin Klein did not ever have sex with Mark Wahlberg.

There is a scene in Mark Wahlberg's new movie Shooter where he lies naked across a bed, a loincloth over the goodies, and one gets that surge of excitement that he always used to encite. He still looks great, with arms and biceps that make Popeye jealous. It's a pretty fun movie as well, especially if you like to see fatcat US Senators get theirs!

Actors who start out young and good looking seem to go through a period during which they deliberatly spoil their looks to make them seem older and thus a more serious actor. Typically, they start to show a few days of beard growth. Brad Pitt, Rob Lowe, Paul Walker, Tom Cruise, etc have gone through or are still in that phase. Ian ______ the blond now on Dancing with the Stars is wearing a short beard and it is not sexy in my opinion. Mark Walberg may also be trying to seem more serious and older.

I can also recommend the view of Mark undraped in Shooter. Absolutely gorgeous. I think he is keeping in good shape but avoiding lots of skin exposure in flicks because he wants to be taken seriously as an actor. But, if he really wants to be taken seriously as an actor, he should probably skip movies like The Shooter. This is action/adventure with minimalist dialogue and little opportunity for him to really act.

But I guess it pays the bills!!

I may have to go see that Shooter movie. Since you mentioned Brad Pitt, I must say I was shocked at how gnarled out he looked in the Babel movie I recently rented. (I didn't like the movie much, by the way). Did he get makeup or some other procedure to look uglier? I never thought I'd be able to say this, but I can honestly say I think I look better now than he did in that movie. I hope for his sake that he was just trying to look ugly.

A few years ago he underwent a kind of conversion back to Catholicism (under his mother's influence), and as a sign of his fidelity had a large tatoo of a rosary put on his chest. It was partly a kind of discipline to keep him from marketing his body, and partly a kind of penance for his more lacivious days. Hence the new modesty.

I didn't notice the tattoo in the Shooter flick. If they disguised it with makeup, they did a good job. He shows a lot of chest for quite some time in that movie. It's quite sensual. Might he have had the tattoo removed?

Most film makers will have actor's tattoos covered with make-up if the tattoos would be inappropriate for the character. Any remnants may be digitally excised before the final product is placed out there.

 

That this tattoo was removed is possible.
