I think that you definitely should try coming back. It sounds like you have a real passion for the work and enjoy waht you do. I've always thought that passion and enjoyment of what you do is something that makes a huge difference. Well, this mini-threadlet doesn't really belong here, but... I can't leave these prejudicial comments unchallenged. Back before he lifted his rates to $300, I enjoyed the ministrations of Mr. Lawrence twice. (If I hire an escort twice, it means the first time was so much fun that I just had to have another.)
