But can a woman rape a man? Or are men the only gender that can commit rape? In the news there are stories of female teachers having sex with male underage students, which is different, that may count as rape, but what about a grown man?

There was a story years ago on L&O:SVU where some women had a party and invited a male stripper. They tied him down on the bed and rode him. Stabler did not think that a male could be raped by a woman.

But technically if a man is able to get hard enough for the woman to ride him means he likes it right?

male on male rape is a big problem in the military and not just a guy helping another guy out. i have two friends that were victims.

Student teacher sex may seem to be consentual but isn’t if the guy is too young to be able to give consent. Technically it’s then rape.

This is probably why the term "sexual assault" was coined. A Google search of "rape vs sexual assault" yielded several results like the following from the Joyful Heart Foundation:

"Sexual assault refers to any sexual, physical, verbal, or visual act that forces a person to engage in sexual contact against their will or without their affirmative consent. Rape commonly refers to forced sexual intercourse, including vaginal, anal, or oral penetration through physical force, such as being restrained or drugged, or threats to escalate violence.

Legal definitions of these terms vary by states and jurisdictions.

In the United States, one in three women and one in six men are survivors of sexual violence."

So, yes, a man can be raped by a woman or a man and a woman can be raped by a woman or a man.

From today’s NY Times in the arts section a case of a male artist and his assistant cross suing over “sexual harassment” that included “unlawful sexual acts” which were unfortunately not described.

The artist, Ross Blecker, was suing the assistant for extortion and the assistant is suing for sexual harassment.

The assistant says the sex was “forced” and he secretly recorded some of the forced sex acts. Should make for an interesting court room audience.
