I am an American. I am aware of the State department warnings.

I have never had any problem in Pakistan. The people I come into contact with could not be nicer. The mood in the parts of the country I travel to seems very calm. I do quite a bit of business in PK. The country is controlled by many family business empires. The business owners go to great lengths to protect their businesses and their customers. I feel like I have a greater chance of getting run over by a cab driver in Manhattan than getting into trouble in PK.

 

On the subject of the legality of having gay sex in PK I have no worries. What happens in my hotel room behind a locked door is invisible to those who might have a problem. I am quite sure that the 10% rule applies to PK just like anywhere else in the world. There is a very discrete gay scene that mostly occurs in private homes or hotel rooms. In the case of the pleasant experience I had I just had to go with my instincts.
