I didn't but my father fought in WWII in the Philippines. My maternal grandfather fought in the Spanish-American War also in the Philippines.

Well I was not IN the service --- But I have Certainly Thanked more than my share of

Servicemen. In particular those from Ft Bragg NC - Dover AF Base - Savannah -- the Military Warfare College in Carlisle PA == Ft Dix NJ -- The Presedio in San Fran CA == Anapolis MD Cadets -- ETC --- I love to teach

 

And for all of those of all age whom I have not had the honor to meet -- Thank You for your Service

No, but I'm a Navy brat, and grew up on and around Naval bases. Many military relatives, too. And, of course, one of my sons is a Midshipman at the US Naval Academy so the tradition continues.

I didn't serve, but three generations of my family have. Father, a brother, a brother's wife, and a nephew. Thanks to all the men, women, parents, kids, neighbors, and friends who have served.

Yes US Army. Three years and I get royally pissed when a**holes like Cheney or Trump attack ME for being unpatriotic when I disagree with them. Happy Veterans Day and a salute to all my fellow vets. A a brief tear for my friends who didn’t make it back.
