I really enjoy BN's column, but I disagree with his comments about Cirque du Soleil's "Love" show at the Mirage. I enjoyed the show from start to finish and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the music of the Beatles. The ticket prices are high, but no higher than most of the other major shows in town. Surely that's chump change for anyone who can afford to stay at the MGM Skylofts. (Wink Wink). I do appreciate BN's column.

What comments, exactly? Ben made a few. I found Ben's review balanced and, frankly, he agrees with you—many Beatles' fans will love it.

Cirque du Soleil is a "long run" concept show with very tall legs. The concept puts me to sleep (and I was never a big fan of the Beatles) but, like Ben said, if it ain't broke, there ain't much to fix. As long as millions are willing to buy tickets to this specialized, homo-fan circus (and aren't falling asleep, yet), why change?

Re blog: I could have done without the economics lesson and spent more time laughing at Ben Affleck. It's so difficult to take a pretty face seriously even if he says smart things on Real Time.

I, too, was saddened by the Reese/Ryan news. I thought this couple had the formula to make it work. Oh well. I'm still recovering from the Sonny and Cher breakup.

As for "lying cunt" Perez, I hear what goes around comes around.

Ben has done a public service by collecting those sexy pics of Ryan Phillipe, who is my favortie Hollywood hottie after Brad Pitt. Yeah, the economics lesson was a crashing bore, but who ever puts up better eye candy than Ben? Let it be!

LOVE it or not, it's in Vegas and sticking around. If you're a fan of Beatles music, i can't recommend it enough...

This week's economics lesson: Keep in mind that only a small percentage of my readers come for the eye candy. Luckily, the scroll button allows you to skip all of that pesky reading in the future and go right to the pictures ;)

I'm not as shallow as Lucky. Pesky or not, I always look forward to a good read.

Perez Hilton has been nominated for several Verve Awards as well as many Gay Bloggie awards. So why the knock? Maybe if Ben cut the economics lessons he could have gotten a nomination as well. Andy Towle managed to garner several nominations as well.

Hmmm...Perez Hilton is more unpopular than I knew:

"from idolator.com — If you've never read the celeb-sucking Photoshop shitshow that is PerezHilton.com, consider yourself lucky"

Such imperial decisions can only be made by RockHard. However, having read Perez Hilton on a few occasions, I realize how lucky I am to have towleroad.typepad.com for the real good gay stuff! And he writes every day!

Perez used to write every day too, many times a day actually, until somebody sued.

Windbags tend to deflate when the papers are served.

"So why the knock?"

The term "lying cunt" was not meant as a personal slur. It's a well-known quote belonging to Mr. Perez. I expected those in-the-know to know what I meant. Lucky may have figured that out by now.
