Companion travel expectations

I am curious about expectations when you cover a companion's flight. Is booking travel in coach acceptable or is the expectation that you will book business or first?

 

I am asking when they travel alone to your location; I would of course book the same class as myself if we were traveling together.

I completely agree with BN. Generally, when I meet clients at a destination of their choice I fly on economy and there is always a possibility for an upgrade on the domestic leg(s). When travelling together, it is usually in the same cabin, which - up until now - has always been on business/first. At the end of the day, I really don't mind sitting on economy and that's what my initial expectation is, anything above (and beyond) that is just icing on the cake and much appreciated!

And how about reimbursement for transportation to/from the airport? I assume that is covered on top of the escort fee, esp in cities like London where cabs to the airport are expensive, right?

 

I imagine everything is negotiable. But why not take the tube to Heathrow?

 

There are clients for whom money is no obstacle....but that's usually the exception rather than the rule. There's no shame in taking public transportation (unless maybe you're wearing nothing but a harness and a thong) to save yourself and/or your client some money.

 

Less money spent on getting you to the airport means more money spent on a better restaurant, bottle of wine, or more time and/or a bigger tip in your pocket.

Your assumption would make perfect sense, however, based on my experience, usually only 1 out of every 10 client offers reimbursement for that. They probably forget about it, but that's really no big deal to me, since I am already compensated very well for those trips, so I consider it "cost of doing business".

I usually give them 200 beyond their fee for travel to and from airport. If for some reason they are from the city (usually the case), they usually come back with me to my place to collect the fee at the end of the trip (too much hassle to carry so much cash).

My expectation is coach. Flying me Delta puts me in Comfort+ immediately upon booking a coach ticket.. so it just makes sense. I just scolded a client for booking me in First Class on a revenue ticket.

If you're flying the guy around and he's a vetted, reviewed escort, I wouldn't worry about him figuring out how to get from an airport to a hotel.

 

Sure, he can nickel & dime you or you can make the offer, but in my own experience, hitting my guys for every expense I incur is bad business.

Everyone’s expectations vary. Its really best for you to ask the escort who you’d like to hire for travel. I definitely know some escorts who require business class flights for anything over 6 hours. I personally only require business class flight bookings when I’m traveling for 10 hours or more, internationally, and there is no direct flight available. I book all my own flights tho, so I explain my expectations to each client on a case by case basis and quote the total amount required to make the trip happen. Booking Amount. Travel Costs. Deposit amount. Balance amount.

 

For me, deposit amount is half the booking plus the full amount of travel costs in advance. So if for example the value of the booking is $3000, and the cost of the round trip flight is going to be $767, I might round up to $800 to account for flight price fluctuations and misc airport costs, and quote the full cost of the booking at $3800. I would require $2300 as a deposit (half the booking fee plus the total cost of travel), and the balance owed by the client at the time of our meeting would be $1500. This is broken down and explained as clearly to my clients as I’ve explained it here, each and every time I receive a serious inquiry for a booking that requires me to travel.

 

Most experienced escorts who travel will similarly have their own expectations in mind and be prepared to communicate them with you.
