Yikes! VDN, do you really equate married men hiring escorts to: murder, drug addiction, rape, incest, pedophilia, and maternal scat play (yuck, that's a new one)? All I can say is...you forgot terrorism, kidnapping, thievery, torture, illiteracy (oh wait, if this turns into a discussion of the Bush administration, it'll get moved to the Politics section). :p

No he was not equating married men hiring escorts to murders. He was equating the fact that by saying that each is wrong he is in fact passing judgments made daily and doesn't particularly mean he is judgmental.

Not sure where you got your interpretation from.

One of the last things I care to see on this Message Board is one bunch of dysfunctional guys passing judgment on the actions of another dysfunctional bunch, especially when it has zero impact on them. I would suspect that closeted, married man deal with enough self-imposed guilt that they don't need any of your moralizing. Furthermore, I suspect they are also very much aware of the options available to them to end the guilt.

In the meantime, I suggest you save your preaching for someone who asks for it. Which was not the intent of the initial post

You passed judgment on all of us my calling us dysfunctional.

Preach: a definition:

VERB:

intr.

To deliver a sermon.

To give religious or moral instruction, especially in a tedious manner.

I am guilty of being tedious. Other than that, nothing in the definition applies to me.

No, I don't. I didn't say that. And my, you sure can whip up a list of misdemeanors and felonies in a hurry.

Though I disagree with almost everything you have said in this thread I NEVER invoked Bush's name. You didn't need to go there. Let's remain polite.

You blame of me exactly what you did in the last post, judgment. The intent of my initial post did not request a posting that would preach to me the justification of cheating in a paranoid marriage. Yet in still you posted your comments, and I am perfectly happy with your opinions you are entitled to them as am I. I can preach to anyone whom I chose and a paranoid husband trying to figure out ways to inconvenience hotels and escorts to continue to deceive his wife is a great opportunity for me to do so.

As Usual

Look, guys, I don't want to get into a pissing war here. I especially don't want to get hung up with semantics. My use of dysfunctional applies to anyone whose activities (functions) are outside of the norm. Like it or not, if you're a sexually active gay man, you are, by most definitions, dysfunctional. And let's not get into the contentious issue of defining normal or abnormal.

Further, I am certainly not opposed to anyone espousing opinions on anything he wants. But the initial purpose of this thread was to gather facts on how much confidentiality one could expect from typical hotel operations. Nobody asked for an opinion about the morality of adultery. If either of you guys wants to deliver a discourse on it, I'd suggest you start your own thread.
