Massagem4m has been shutdown and their new App they were testing, BodyButler has been completely shutdown and removed from all App Stores. I’d strongly encourage you all to take a glance through masseurfinder and start saving some contact numbers with masseur pics as that site is likely only going to exist for a short amount of time.

Masseurfinder, Rent Masseur and Rent Men are next :( this is moving so fast! I never thought this country would have sensored internet like russia and china.

There is no need to panic, guys. M4M was not "seized" by the feds, or forced offline. The site as of last week when it was still online was VERY "G" rated. It was obviously a business decision that the owners took it offline for whatever reason, i.e. poor health, ready to retire, etc. It was started in 2001 so was online for 17 years.....I can understand they were probably burned out, especially with all the SESTA/FOSTA bullshit. Masseurfinder could be next, but that also would be a personal choice, not because they have been "seized" by the feds. My guess is that they will stay online and profit from all the refugees from M4M who need a place to advertise. As far as Rentmasseur and Rentman, they are based in Europe.......offshore, (so no SESTA/FOSTA threat) and are somewhat new, so they will be around a while. I know there have been tons of changes over the past year for us clients (and for the masseurs)....we all need to just take a chill pill and not panic. Probably best if we all just relax and all go get a massage :)

The issue isn’t that these websites are being seized by the feds just yet, and the owners of M4M and BodyButler did NOT just choose to voluntarily end business after just recently investing in a brand new app to transition all of their content onto, because they were “burned out”. The websites are shutting down in fear of being the next RentBoy/Craigslist. The owners are facing the real possibility of legal action and are closing shop because the risk is too high. Forums on the other hand should have much less risk, as simply speaking of experiences (not advertising services) shouldn’t violate any laws (at least not yet; re-elect the cheetoh in chief and that may come next). FMG’s original review blog was removed likely due to it being hosted by a very large private company who can dictate what content it shares.

Better new sites come instead, that’s true

Awesome they asked and received a copy of my ceritification just a month ago. (Sarcasm) it is so disappointing how unprofessional the advertising sites have been treating their advertisers. Many of us have spent 10 of thousands of dollars with them and been on them for over a decade. Like another poster said karma is a bitch.

MassageM4M handled it's demise so badly. Just pulled itself offline, with no communication to it's advertisers or clients who supported them all these years, to alert them they were going offline. The CORRECT way to have done it would have been to post the following on their Landing Page:

To All Advertisers And Massage Clients

MassageM4M has reached the decision that we can no longer operate our massage website for personal reasons. To all our advertisers, please contact us at support@massagem4m.com for a full refund for any credit card charges which have been billed for the coming month. To all our advertisers and massage clients, it has been a pleasure to serve you the past 17 years since our beginnings in 2001. Thank you all for your support over those years and we wish you all the best. Our site will be going offline on June 21, 2018. Thank you once again for your patronage!

THAT would have been a class act on how to exit gracefully. Instead they slipped away in the dark of the night, just left in a very deceitful way, with only an "Error" page when you visit the site now. They could have least posted something along the lines of the copy above out of respect for all of us who supported them all these years. REALLY badly done.

This is sad. I think we have been operating in the nether regions too long, it is time to be out in the open. How do we legalize and get this bipartisan government pigs off our backs?

I think rentmasseur is up.

Yup it is really deplorable politicians “on both sides” cutting the fabric for scarlet letters.

Perhaps you should start your own website for masseurs to advertise on and give them free reign

Being the investigator that I am... I contacted the owners accountant, found the owners name. Emailed them and contacted them on Facebook.

They deleted their Facebook's and finally responded with " Refunded your money" . I am more disappointed then mad. I invested 8 years of advertising dollars and to be treated like this is pathetic.

I have reached out to a few more massage therapist that advertise and random massage therapist have contacted me asking what is going on. Some of these guys don't even know that the site is gone.

I remember when they deleted much of their review history a few years ago, and then how they didn't post a review I submitted, how below average their customer service when I responded to their BS by dropping my premium membership. Mixed emotions about that site being down.

Haven't you tried FRIENDBOY yet?

The best sites are now FRIENDBOY and MINTBOYS. Free, easy, friendly.

The thing I don't like about those Free sites is that it's not easy, if not impossible, to determine when an ad was posted or the last time the advertiser logged on. So, you can't determine how old an ad is or if the advertiser is still escorting. Also, I have checked both of those sites and see guys listed as currently in Washington, DC, that I know by checking Rentmen, Rentmasseur, or Masseurfinder, are definitely not in DC. If those Free sites would automatically delete ads, after a period of inactivity, it would be so much better for the customer experience.

Guest InthePines

My primary masseur told me last night that he contacted his bank yesterday to stopped payment and he had advertised on the site for almost a decade.

Personally, I've always thought M4M was a bit of a scam site, for they charged five dollars a month just to see all the masseur's review.

Where there's a need, they'll always be a means, so this is more of a shift than an end. That said, hopefully the shift will be to a gay owned and operated website or at least a serious smut peddler, for they're ultimately the ones who will fight in the courts and eventually get this bullshit overturned. In contrast, most of these web based companies are owned by a group of kids operating out of a slummy warehouse who pee in their pants and run the moment they receive a notice from the government.

I personally think their legal problems started when they created that IOS app. The amount of people that would have looked massagem4m vs the amount of views and traffic the app received could have increased their presence and caused their downfall.

I am a little confused about this, as their Body Butler App is up and running fine. Plus my location had like 3 options originally - now there are like 20 operates. Prices, Location, Chat option, Call through the App and a Favorites button... the App has the number of reviews, yet No Reviews show up on that link.

It appears that they are moving forward with the App and shut the website down. Maybe there is less liability for the owner on the App instead of the website? Either way, just wanted to share. -xx

“Body Butler” is no longer available in the App Store. Are you on Android?

This shouldn't be the case with MintBoys. If a person doesn't update their ad in a few months, the ad expires and gets removed from the site - unless they click to have it renewed.
