Hi all. Visiting Montreal this weekend for the

first time, staying at the La Conciergerie Guest

House; anyone have any comments on the place?

What good gay places to visit, stripper clubs,

bars, etc. Any information would be helpful,

Thanks Rocky

I don't think this a very accurate description of La Consiergerie. It consists of two joined very nicely restored Victorian greystones located near to old Montreal, which is adjacent to Montreal's port on the St. Lawrence River. As such you will be very close (an easy walk) to some good restaurants and tourist attractions in the old quarter of Montreal, where most of the buildings are over 100 years old and some of the streets are cobblestoned.

However, this B&B is a little removed from the Gay Village and is about a 20 minute walk, not bad if it's not raining or cold but at this time of year the weather is up and down. IMO, a much better choice would have been Le Sir Montcalm, a fairly new B&B in the heart of the Village where everything is at your doorstep (they have a website, http://www.SirMontcalm).

There is a lot of info on this site concerning the bars in Montreal, including the stripper bars, so read up before you come. And Bon Voyage!

For someone that has been a member her since 2002, you apparently have not visited the other forums, one of which (strip club forum) has a wealth of information for you on Montreal. Happy reading!
