bulging menagerie is just a few hours down the road.

Great point @Golem in fact we can take a train to NY have some fun, have lunch and be home for dinner. Nice to have this option and yes it changes our perspective of what we want and think we deserve

@freecahill1965 is right we have 39 colleges in Boston you would think lots of boys would need help With tuition/rent!

Exactly yet if there are not enough escorts is because the clientele is not there.

Plenty of choice in a large city like NYC.

Well, yes and no. The train ain't free, so prices that are pretty reasonable in NY start to feel less exciting if you're going down just for that. There are cheap buses, but good luck having a relaxing day if you're taking one of those (let alone one each way) :p

Amtrak runs frequent specials - I’m often able to get $78 RT

Hey providers, please put Boston on your travel list! We have a limited pool of providers here are are very appreciative of visiting talent :) Thanks for considering!

I recently put some feeler ads out in Boston. Not because I was planning to go there again, but in case anyone up that way was coming down to Florida.

My experience in Boston as a working guy has been horrible - hands down worst city I’ve visited for work. On my last trip, I had 7 appointments scheduled - 6 of them cancelled at the last minute; the 1 that didn’t was visiting from NYC. Not one to let a few cancellations stop me, I put out feelers and followed up with people I had not been able to schedule. Nothing. I went out and the bars were practically empty. Online hookup apps were like meth dens.

I love Boston and pass through frequently, but can’t justify spending work time there. Unfortunately, I’ve heard similar stories from other guys. I’m not sure when Boston shit the bed, but I suspect the escort scene isn’t going to improve anytime soon. I’d love to hear from anyone who had a great experience in Boston!

You pretty much summed it up. I can’t add much else.

But, I think Boston might of shit the bed way back when that one woman was killed in a Boston hotel. The alledged killer later killed himself:

That said, my experience in Boston was bittersweet. I met a former forum member for dinner, had a photo shoot and then had 3 clients in 24 hours on the weekend of 4th of July, 2009.

However...I was there for a week straight and dealt with ALOT of flakes. Characteristic and typical of many rust belt locations such as Ohio, Chicago and Indianapolis.

I consider Boston to be like Seattle. 2 cities on furthest ends of the coast, very different and unique set of people, expensive hotels, business that doesn’t meet expectations, and just overall never made a second or third working trip to. Not that the cities aren’t beautiful and interesting, but trying to be a visiting sex worker can be quite a challenge.

I get the vibe that some cities like Boston just don’t appreciate visiting sex workers. To them it’s a game of pogs or monopoly, not a serious enterprise. I’ve also met people from Boston elsewhere, and even though they CAN be nice, many choose to maintain the hotheaded Irish label (e.g. think the American version of CONOR MCGREGOR)

So, if you didn’t meet enough clients in Boston...count your blessings.

I used to do well in Boston pre-transition, and have a regular or two in town, so I visit 2-3 times a year. Can’t say I have strong feelings about it one way or the other. Boston has been VERY good to me at times. Sometimes it’s very mehhhh tho. Especially nowadays post-FOSTA/SESTA and post-transition. I still usually recommend it to my escort friends to include in a tour, tho. I think it’s generally a great city to work. Good money for escorts and loyal regulars if you make some.

True. I can’t really base prior travels with today. So many cities have changed market wise. Places I used to pass up are busy, and I don’t always find myself rushing to places that used to be busy. My reasons for having not gone back were more due to the logistics of traveling there, than whether it was good for work or not.

When I went in 2009, I was getting 3-4 star hotels downtown for around $70. Each time I considered planning a trip, they were 3, 4, 5, even 6X that amount. And staying out in Farmington or Worcester just wouldn’t work for where most the calls were coming from.

Seattle was the same. I went once, but for whatever reason a second trip just didn’t happen. At some point I’ll be looking to make some reunions with cities I’ve not been to in awhile. Taking a break from travel right now.

Edit: Framingham

Go there and get ready for all the flakes...

I just want to say a word about flakes since we’re on the topic:

Flakes are definitely everywhere in 2018 porn/app driven gay American culture. But what distinguishes a city is when they come in droves and there’s not real ones to take their place. 5 flakes in a row and 1 client: not good. 3 clients in a row and 1 flake: thats okay.

Similar to Boston, Miami and most of Florida can be flake central, but I’m getting around it strategically. Grindr in Florida is extreme flake central. And we’re not even talking business here. Just basic meet and greet (or fuck). Mofos here are SICK with it. Which is why I don’t even go on dates in Orlando anymore, I deal with them here on a biz oriented manner only.

I think what makes flakes so pronounced for traveling escorts, is that they don’t get the proper break in period to weed out the flakes when just visiting for say, 2-4 days. That’s probably why we still see guys around in cities which are usually touted for being flaky...they’ve been around to recognize who’s who. They’ve developed the antibodies to the BS. They also get that exposure over an extended period of time, versus just when they’re in town. So many factors can be at play which can make it challenging for traveling guys.

Not saying that’s the case always either. Some cities are good for traveling through, other cities you’re not going to be doing very well after your first 6-12 months (Nashville comes to mind).

I love the way you use that word, we must acknowledged flakes have been made by other flakes.
