A couple years ago I stayed at Fairfield Inn on 36 St. and had a massage from Bert at Alpha Mens Spa which was right across the street. I'm returning and staying at the same Fairfield Inn. Anyone know if Alpa Mens Spa is still open in that location or have recommendations of spas / masseurs close by?
Alpha had been closed for a while, I miss it (I live across the street)

I mean yeah, I guess I have to go some place else : (
really wish I could find more mixed places with guys who are interactive
Ohhh I misread your post. So it DIDNT go elsewhere. Got it. I’m dumb

Tried my hand at Renew York again, this time with Eddie. Amazing legit massage, but I left with a major case of BB because there were a lot of signals that it was potentially going someplace else.
I would think this “someplace else” would alleviate BBs no? 😂

I miss alpha. It was super convenient (I live across the street 😅)
Does anyone know if Rodrigo is still around somewhere?

I saw Kai today - friendly and cute Asian guy with average body type.
I enjoyed the massage - focused a lot of my head and neck (and ears…) which was pleasant. Nice pressure and used different techniques for a lot of variety.
Some sensual moments. Once turned over, it seemed a bit mechanical. Nevertheless, I left happy.
Would like to try out the others before I say if I’d repeat with Kai.

Curious about him also - seems to have a lot of positive reviews. Maybe I’ll give it a go…

Anyone have the most recent newsletter?
The formatting on the last few hasn’t been at all legible for me

They have some new masseurs there that I haven’t tried yet. I always go to Chris who is consistently very good.
Is Chris latino, slender build?

Yogi ray has reached out a few times for a session. Also curious how the experience was.

He used to be at 27. I’ve tried him there, and outside.
At 27, he was nothing special, little to no MT. Thought it may have been because it was my first time there.
Independently, I found his massage to be lackluster and really didn’t leave feeling satisfied.
He was more concerned about getting himself a HE then he did about taking care of me - didn’t really feel it was worth paying the $ just to eat his ass (which wasn’t fresh or clean btw)
I ended up not even finishing - but YMMV. That’s just my experience - would not repeat.
-
Honestly it depends on a few factors for me…
1. The price of the massage
2. how the massage is
3. if I leave happy
4. if they allow MT
5. if they ask how much I’m tipping/ ask me how much I’ll pay for x,y,z
6. What we actually do
7. if I’ve seen him before
8. if I want to see him again
There’s no specific formula but I feel weird if I give less than 80% of the massage cost. If it’s above and beyond - like this one guy I see regularly- I usually give him a 175% tip. So
Sorry if this was a long winded answer but my philosophy is treat them right if they treated you right.

Just Googled that place and it states that it’s permanently closed. Is it wrong? When was the most recent time you were there?
I just googled it and it says open.

Had a great massage at Times Sq Mens Spa with Latino (Harry? couldn't understand his name). Unfortunately a 90 min massage ended in 75 min. Killed the whole experience. Why do guys do this?!? They work hard for 75% of the time and ruin it by shorting the time. As I was laying there I thought I had found a new regular but the time short made me feel ripped off. Oh well, on with the search.
Every time I’ve been to TSMS, I’ve always been shorted.

Thanks.
I always found these so handy when I was traveling in Asia. I truly hate the habit of some spas to merely line up the guys for you to pick from. So humiliating for these guys.
And so much pressure on who to pick lol

I don't think I've ever seen a masseur "menu" in the US before.
These are very common in Thailand, but this is the first I've seen one here.
How did you find this ? I don't see a pathway from their website.
If you signed up for their newsletter - they send it out periodically. I think Ben recently posted it somewhere on here too

I haven’t been in a while, but I’ve always had a decent experience at 27/HK.
I’d avoid TSMS, my last few visits were less than great.
