Maybe I'm too concerned. What are other poster's thoughts and experiences with a provider who insists an Uber be sent to him?

Given the major inconsistencies between their responses to you and @glutes, I think you clearly dodged a bullet, or more to the point, a big disappointment.

I think it's worth it because you have immediate access to their semi- private photos and can, depending on what the photos show and where your interests lie, decide whether or not it's worth it to contact this guy. Sending them an email through the RM system to unlock semi-private photos is frustrating. Often it takes days to get an answer (not a good solution if it's a RM who is travelling to your city for just a few days) and some RM have told me that either they don't get notified of your email or they don't check their emails. But even with premium photos, one must send a request to the RM to unlock those. RM has had my credit card info for years (as have various video sites) and there has never been a hint of skullduggery. And, as noted, you can leave a review if you are a premium member.

Your concern is well founded. He was in videos almost 25 years ago. He has to be in his mid 40's by now. None of those pix come even close to matching that age range, IMHO. If you're really interested, ask for face time so some other such live interaction media so you can see what he looks like today. Asking for "recent" pix will probably only bring more old ones. The reality is he's not going to look like he did way back then. I say he's time for everyone to move on from him.
