Recently visited TOP MEN on 35th street, after 5pm.  (Door Man building, no ID required, except your face mask).
Took the elevator up, met by Luc at door, who assigned me Patrick, he's a tall beefy mix of Ecuadorian/Asian. The hour swept by, I don't usually converse with the masseur, but he was expressing his strong opinion about the US education system. The massage was medium to strong, he noticed some knots, which he worked out (thankfully). When he turn me over, he gave me a wonderful ending.  (Patrick did take his face mask off for part of his finish. (I was double masked the entire time). I was very relaxed afterwards. I will visit again since I want to try Luc's technique. TIP don't take the front room close to street facing windows, the heat is very strong.

Checked new location of shangrila spa today. I could say it is one of the best spas in NYC so far. I love those decorations and design. very modern. feel comfortable and relaxing.  I thought price would be raised because the new renovation. but it does not. still same like before. excellent. I had a new asian guy Ko, dark skin, skillful, but totally different from other masseurs. that's so good, difficult to tell,  very impressive. definitely like it. try him you will understand what I said. By the way, booking is better than walk-in if you do not like waiting . Only three rooms. 

I went to Alpha the other day. Nice, clean place. Everything seemed brand new. My masseur was kind of so-so. Cute guy, seemed nice and polite, but massage was really slow and light (even though he said it would go from light to medium to hard, it went from really really light to really light to light). I don’t want to name him publicly, cause he did seem like he was trying, but just didn’t seem trained well enough.

My friend told me he had great massage at Alpha yesterday. By Adrian from Caribbean 
And also they added the wall to the ceiling. Guess owner saw the reviews. plan to go back soon.

While I was visiting NYC the other week I went to Grandee on W 56th looking for something relaxing after (a lot) of drinks with a friend. It was pretty late, like 2am, and they were one of only a few open 24hrs. I asked for a massage and the owner/host put me in a room, but I waited like 5 minutes and no one came in the room. I got dressed and headed for the exit. The host said they only had one or two masseurs working (understandable) but that he could do the massage (I wasn’t attracted to him in the least, to put it kindly) so I left. I was walking back to my hotel when the guy texts me an apology for the confusion and that he had a nice Asian masseur ready (sent a pic, very handsome) so I went back and the same handsome Asian boy showed up (didn’t see him before) and told me to go into the same room I was in before. Again, another 5 minutes and no one came in so I left again. The host texted me that the masseur he mentioned was busy with another client. I know it was after 2am and I wasn’t sober, but it seemed a bit chaotic over there…

I concur, Daniel is really great, he was probably trained in one of the saunas in Brazil. 

He does have quite a lot of chest hair right now if you are into that.

I went to alpha today for a walk in. Nice place, but….
it is setup like shangrila: the walls do not go all the way up to the ceiling, so you can hear everyone else’s conversation when they are having their massage. This is a big issue for someone like me who is a big moaner, especially at the critical moment.
also i was super cold, but there is no A/C control in each room, it is centralised.
Got assigned Karl who is cute and friendly. 
I got more or less what I expected from the massage, but 3 things means I won’t try him again:
- he put a towel over my eyes after I turned over. 

- he moved my hands up above my head at the critical moment. It is a nice way to say “no touching”, and I respect that, but I can find masseurs who do not ever do that or say that.

- the end of the massage was a bit forceful, he needs to handle this body part more gently.

I had my first a appointment at alpha men's spa today.The place looks brand new , extremely clean and peaceful.
Alex is nice looking, respectful and able to help all the time. Massage was great. I saw another handsome latino . the Rates are more than fair.  Definitely comeback soon. highly recommend this place.
