I cannot help but point out another recent thread where some escorts were alleging it made sense for clients to send money in advance to people they've never met as a good faith demonstration of trust.  Well, sadly, your story just highlights why that's not a good idea.
As to your description, I have two thoughts: First of all, the photos are probably stolen just like he stole your money so it really doesn't matter whose photos they actually are.  Beyond that, I don't know that a circle of flames around the navel is all that distinctive.  I'm pretty sure I've seen at least a few guys in porn with a similar tattoo.
Sorry to hear of your misfortune.  I would say that most providers are not like this, but most providers aren't going to try to get you to send them $150 in a cash app before ever meeting despite what some providers here might try to claim is the norm.  Run the other way the next time someone tries to get you to pay before you've even laid eyes on them in person.  I personally don't even pay people on arrival, though I will have cash sitting out in a conspicuous place if I'm having someone over so they can see that I am prepared to pay.

Considering this is “ask a provider”, I figure I could chime in. Of course I disagree with the sending money ahead of time equating to being a predator or red flag. Rather critical verbiage.

I actually state in my ad that new clients may need to confirm (hard to say “deposits” in many ads these days). Just like clients may come across fake providers, so is the case of escorts coming by fake clients. And A4A is among the top for having flaky clients.

As for verifying: I use my Jarrod Brandon name in my ad and include my JFF handle. A profile with an actual name is likely more true than something with a screenname sounding name.

Tons of fake regular profiles on A4A.  I’ve never hired from the “Pro” section, but in my area, with very few exceptions, the guys look sketchy and don’t interest me.  Maybe it’s different in NYC.  I would suggest you search by distance from you, if you’re not already, so you know they’re actually local.  After that you need to assess each one for credibility and your comfort level.  Go with your gut and don’t let the little head think for the big one.

I agree with @FrankR.  Meet in a public place especially if anything seems “off,” and never send $$ ahead of time.  That’s a huge  🚩.

Ask for a video call to make sure they are real and look like their pics before you agree to meet.
You can also insist on meeting in a public place (like a Starbucks) and walk away if you get a bad vibe.
Never agree to send money in advance - makea you look like an easy target. Never show weakness to a predator. 🤓

Hi, new here and in NYC. Been to Adonis a few years ago, and looking to go next Saturday. Can someone kindly explain the nude party that you've been talking about? Thanks
