I recently got together with a provider who contacted me first. He later said that since I had checked out his profile so many times, there's a good chance I'd take him up on his offer.  Needless to say, he was correct.  I'm not sure if I would have even known that he was in town if he hadn't reached out.  I do appreciate it if a provider reaches out first, as it dissipates a lot of the anxiety about sending that first message.  I do have information on my profile, which just makes it easier when communicating on RM.  I can say, "check my profile" rather than typing out what I'm into each and every time.

Three words: Worth. Every. Penny.

I think you do know how to deal with it if it happens again. In fact, you even told us:
 

 
Yeah, it'd feel shitty saying that to someone, but it would need to be said in that situation. In the long run, I bet the client would appreciate your honest reality check.
