I'm going to pull a Clinton - depends on what your definition of "effective" is (Clinton said "depends on what the definition of 'is' is").s Kaiser SF has more than 5,000 members on PrEP and only 1 has seroconverted, 4 nationwide at this point. I would call that effective, but I acknowledge that level of risk is too high for some people, and I will not fault them for it. In the interest of full disclosure, I am now among the 5,000 - I have a long term boyfriend who is poz, and went on the regime in part to ease his worries.

I came across (chanced upon, came upon? - those guys are squirt-worthy) additional evidence of the san francisco-ness of number 482 - a banner from recon.com that shows the same guys in front of the Ben & Jerry's ice cream parlor at the corner of Haight and Ashbury streets, arguably one of the most iconic intersections in the US. I used to live about 5 blocks from there ..

Could we have a gay-leather-guess-the-city? 482 looks like san francisco (except for the relatively rare blue sky) (victorian building) 483a looks like amsterdam, because of the post the guy is sitting (and the ubiquitous bicyles) A more seasoned traveler than I will have to opine about 483b. (tats look identical to 483a, but doesn't necessary need to have been taken in the same town)
