<curmudgeon_mode>I thought that some of the readers here might be amused by the fact that jacuzzi has become a generic word for hot tub in the same way that xerox has become a generic term for photocopy. There is a Jacuzzi family who had a business selling hot tubs near the east shore of San Francisco Bay, which google maps calls "Paradise Valley Spas - Jacuzzi Hot Tubs" which is technically in the richmond CA Annex, but is just on the other side of the freeway from Albany, CA. The family contributed substantially to St. Ambrose catholic church in north Berkeley, where I've both recorded other folk's concerts and played in some myself.</curmudgeon_mode>

I've had my current MacBook pro for 5 years and haven't had any issues with the keyboard. I have to be careful about not touching the trackpad with the lower palm of my left hand when I type (otherwise the focus-pointer jumps), but that's not the fault of the keyboard. I opted for the SSD memory instead of a disk, and it's performance has beeen absolutely stellar (and reliable).

My heart goes out to all of you. I was only proxy pop for my boyfriend's pooch (also a terrier), and had only known him for half of his life, but was bereft when the time had come and was the one who took us all to the vets.
